4':33 "I sold flowers I didn't sell myself" 👌👌👌

LOL, I feel Eliza's frustration. I was literally felt a semblance of what Eliza was feeling not too long ago. Basically worrying about things like paying bills and stuff because it was all a first for me and I was so stressed and frustrated.

@kangadillo

I never understood why Eliza never specifically and directly told Higgins why she was upset. She never mentioned how he ignored her contribution to the evening's success. As a result, he was as obtuse at the end of the scene as he was at the beginning, and thought she was heartless and ungrateful. When you're talking to someone who's that insensitive, you have to "spell it out" for them!

@ShonaMcCarthy

He had spent so long conditioning her on what she can and can't say, and in doing so destroyed her ability to truly speak for herself.

@Svetlana_Zakirova

Remember that in the beginning she didn’t care about being merely a bet - her sole purpose was to get a chance to work for that flower shop. But she changed in the course of her “education” and developed feelings for him. And so did he

@kangadillo

@@Svetlana_Zakirova Yes, those feelings she began having for him came through during the song "I Could Have Danced All Night." That made his apathy toward her, when they returned from the ball, all the more painful.

@neilkurzman4907

Because she felt cast aside. Used, and about to be disposed of. Fearful about her future.

@kangadillo

Yes, especially because Higgins said he was glad it was over and he'd no longer have to wake up "dreading the day." What a cruel and heartless jackass.

She gave that charactre so much depth. I like her so much more than Julie Andrews.

@inspirit5461

He called her a heartless gutter snipe, creature and an insect and treated her like trash, and he thinks he’s done nothing wrong.
