Bed, bed I couldn't go to bed
My head's too light to try to set it down
Sleep, sleep I couldn't sleep tonight
Not for all the jewels in the crown
I could have danced all night
I could have danced all night
And still have begged for more
I could have spread my wings and done a thousand things
I've never done before

I'll never know what made it so exciting
Why all at once my heart took flight
I only know when he began to dance with me
I could have danced, danced, danced all night

It's after three now
Don't you agree now?
She ought to be in bed!

I could have danced all night, I could have danced all night
And still have begged for more
I could have spread my wings and done a thousand things
I've never done before

I'll never know what made it so exciting
Why all at once my heart took flight
I only know when he began to dance with me
I could have danced, danced, danced all night

I understand, dear
It's all been grand, dear
But now it's time to sleep

I could have danced all night, I could have danced all night
And still have begged for more
I could have spread my wings and done a thousand things
I've never done before

I'll never know what made it so exciting
Why all at once my heart took flight
I only know when he began to dance with me
I could have danced, danced, danced all night

"Sleep, sleep I couldn't sleep tonight" That line was actually Audrey singing. 😊

@oldmoviemusic

they very seamlessly blended in Marni's voice with Audrey's in the line right after, wow!

@amyfisher6380

Yes, she did the low notes, and Marni Nixon sang the notes that Audrey couldn’t do.

It may have been another woman singing, but Audrey's acting to the song was wonderful..

She actually sang, but they ended up dubbing over her. But nothing takes away from the fact that Audrey Hepburn was a silver screen Goddess. She's part of a very small and elite club of actresses who lights up the screen with her elegance, charm and beauty. You can't teach that in acting school.

@The Dude Abides At 0:20 in this video she sings six words that actually were her own words. They didn't dub over those words. Also, for a couple of the songs she did, before they dubbed it, the recordings have been recovered and have been uploaded to Youtube. Even though I'm a fan of hers, the dubbing was probably a smart move. Nixon's voice was quite a bit better.
