The achievements of the group should be, at first, encharged to the first two works of the band. The EP's independently managed an incredible visibility across the Internet.

This visibility has become more apparent through the various appearances of the group's print and audiovisual addition sites and the presence of its music in international web radio stations. Some members of the band made a visit to the United States where it was formed a public that today is responsible for the spread of My Fair Lady’s material overseas.

My Fair Lady aroused the interest of Fernando Quesada, Shaman’s bassist, EM&T's teacher and Ceunsp University's audio coordinator, who invited the group to record and produce their first full-length album at the Fusão VM&T Studios and Headstock Produtora in São Paulo/Brazil, which are two of the largests institutions of music and artistic production in the country.

The album was mastered at the Universal Mastering Studios in New York/United States by Vlado Meller, a leading mastering engineer in the world, whose carries in his resume such names as Frank Sinatra, Aerosmith, Metallica, Lamb of God, Slipknot, System of a Down, Slayer, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyoncé and many others.

Formed in 2008 by Sam Alcantara on vocals, Artur Alcantara and Felipe Faco on guitars, Lucas Beam on bass, and Rodrigo End on drums and vocals, the MFL now prepares for the release of their debut-album "Mindwalk" with the forecast for 2011.

@The Dude Abides At 0:20 in this video she sings six words that actually were her own words. They didn't dub over those words. Also, for a couple of the songs she did, before they dubbed it, the recordings have been recovered and have been uploaded to Youtube. Even though I'm a fan of hers, the dubbing was probably a smart move. Nixon's voice was quite a bit better.

Even though Julie Andrews was supposed to do this role and truly sang better, even than Marni Nixon, I still think Audrey Hepburn was iconic in this role and deserves to be remembered for it. She gives her own charm to the role. And if they casted Julie, we wouldn't have seen her as Mary Poppins which I think suited her better, as independent nanny, with no love interest. The Mary Poppins character has more spotlight in her own story than Eliza, imo. Everything happens for a reason, and this case with Audrey and Julie is the best example.

Despite Walt's offer to postpone Poppins & do My Fair Lady, she liked Audrey Hepburn & thought she would do a good job. She was too classy (then & now) to mess with someone else's career.
Plus, it worked out for the best.. Dame Julie Andrews won the Academy Award for Mary Poppins..& she famously thanked..Jack Warner !!!

There was no tape of a complete"Broadway show," although there is a recording, and several songs she sang in TV specials. I love Audrey Hepburn, but her Cockey accent was terrible and she & Rex's chemistry was a bit cringy at that point..he was much older than was (and he was aware of it also).

Has any song conveyed better the euphoria you feel after an unforgettable event? Lerner and Loewe did brilliantly to introduce such a feeling of love between Eliza and Higgins into what is essentially an anti-love story.

what kind of love you mean? It is for sure not romantic. Both deny romantic feelings in the house of the mother. She clearly said that. And I never had the impression till this mother house scene ( clearly a declaration of friendhsip in her own words) that they were in love... I think this is more familiar/ friendship love, and I would include the colonel in this friendly triangle. Therefor we have 2 possibilities: 1) this song is just a terrible fault and no sense...or 2) it is about what I thought the first time I saw the film...she celebrates she learnt to speak (4 months, spartan discipline and no results, thats why she spread her wings, does thousand of things and her heart lifts, etc...) and also celebrates the cold professor had a nice detail with her (starting a dance, which is not a romantic dance like a waltz lol), so it means he respected after all the bully. This second interpretation is mroe coherent to the real plot of the film and to what she clearly said at the end of the film denying any romantic no sense

Yes, Eliza is pleased to have got the pronunciation right but she says in the song: ‘when he began to dance with me, I could have danced all night.’ That, to me, says it was Higgins who sparked exuberant feelings in her. She becomes disillusioned after the Ball when Higgins and Pickering give her no credit for her ‘performance’. At the end of the musical, Lerner & Loewe, again through their songs, suggest they have feelings for each other. Higgins confesses to something as close to love as he is likely to admit: ‘I’ve grown accustomed to her face.’ He mopes at home listening to a recording of her voice. When she returns, although he continues to treat her like a servant, it is with a hint of self awareness, and, in the film, the strains of I Could Have Danced All Night reinforce Eliza’s feelings for him. It may be a combative and far from romantic love story, but it is not like Shaw’s original play which states that Eliza has outgrown Higgins.

According to the film This cant be possible. The scene took place after 4 months. In the house of the mother after the ball she said she never had any kind of romantic feelings very convincingly. She said she had friendly feelings towards him (and he admitted it back).

So basically she said that by the time of this scene she only had friendly feelings. this itself makes impossible any kind of l romantic feelings from this song. Not my opinion, not my words but in HER words.

Despite Audrey acting well, she did NOT sing, her co-star & she were at complete odds, age wise. As wonderful as Audrey is she isn't British can't speak Cockney & despite being adorable it wasn't Oscar worthy. I am an unrequited hopeless romantic. Everything about this movie catches my eye and spirit. I was Freddie but the girl I sang to never saw the movie and had no idea. I save the movie now for when i need a real buzz. i first saw it when it came out in '64 , it warped me just like Disney did to think these were imitations of some life. In all these decades I've found there are no Disney or wonderful musical lives or cheerful idyllic endings. There are just dreams of that washed out with the reality of life and heaps of ugliness.

Audrey Hepburn was the true star of that generation <3 Marilyn Monroe was talented, yes. But Audrey was the true triple threat. Her singing voice was incredible, her acting skills incredible, and she was a trained ballerina. And SO naturally stunning. Marilyn Monroe was ahead of her time in many ways and is that classic "celebrity" but her talent doesn't truly match Audrey's. IMO :)

I can't help but think of the movie "Dancing In The Rain" when I watch this clip from the movie. Audrey is a fave of mine, but she had a singing voice double in this movie who was nothing short of awesome. Marni Nixon (Margaret Nixon McEathron) of Alta Dena, CA, was her name, but unlike Debbie Reynolds in "Dancing In The Rain," she was never promoted and she never achieved stardom. She was also the voice for Debra Kerr in "The King and I," and for Natalie Wood in "West Side Story." All three hugely successful musicals.

I remember that there was a lot of controversy at the time about Julie Andrew's not getting the role, but I think that was mainly because she had just become famous as Mary Poppins. However. People forget how many other famous theater actresses were overlooked when the musicals they had made famous were transported to the screen, such as Ethel Merman, Mary Martin etc. However, having said that, I think in hindsight it was a mistake for Warner Bros to reject Julie. However. Audrey was brilliant in "My Fair Lady", and as for Marnie Nixon's dubbing, it had been common practice from the beginning of talkies. Marnie did an excellent job in imitating Audrey's tone of voice. All in all, an excellent job and I don`t think Audrey was miscast.
