Bring You Home
Myka Relocate Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

(Have you had enough?)

I've got a question, how can you live life
Always turning your head to hide
Without ever knowing or asking why?

It's time to wake up
Have you had enough?

It's time to wake up, it's time to rise, rise, rise
It's time to break out and rise, rise, rise

(Have you had enough?)

So when you're lost and alone
You're fighting on your own
I'll be the calm through the storm
The sails to bring you home
To bring you home
To bring you home
To bring you home

Waiting not changing, will get you nothing
Your times only what you make it
They won't hand it out so you gotta take it
I've got a question, how can you pass by
We spend our days feeling alive
But we've been thinking you've been dead the whole time

It's time to wake up, it's time to rise, rise, rise
It's time to break out and rise, rise, rise

So when you're lost and alone
You're fighting on your own
I'll be the calm through the storm
The sails to bring you home

So when you're lost and alone
You're fighting on your own
I'll be the calm through the storm
The sails to bring you home
To bring you home

Go to the door at the back of your mind
And fuckin' lock it
Hold the key above the fires of a new life
And just drop it, ugh

Just drop
Yeah, yeah

I'm waiting, my fire burns

(Have you had enough?)

So when you're lost and alone
You're fighting on your own
I'll be the calm through the storm
The sails to bring you home

So when you're lost and alone
You're fighting on your own
I'll be the calm through the storm

The sails to bring you home
To bring you home

Overall Meaning

The song "Bring You Home" by Myka Relocate is an anthem that urges listeners to take control of their lives and seize every opportunity that comes their way. The song begins with the lyric, "I've got a question, how can you live life always turning your head to hide without ever knowing or asking why?" This line sets up the theme of the song, which is that life is too short and unpredictable to waste on fear and complacency. The chorus urges the listener to "wake up" and "rise," to stop waiting for life to happen and start making it happen. The song is a call to action, urging listeners to seize their opportunities and take control of their destiny.

The second verse builds on this theme, questioning why so many people let life pass them by. The lyrics ask, "how can you pass by / we spend our days feeling alive / but we've been thinking you've been dead the whole time." The song argues that too many people get stuck in routines and fail to see the beauty and the possibility that surrounds them. The bridge of the song provides a powerful image of casting aside old fears and embracing a new life. The lyric, "go to the door at the back of your mind and fuckin' lock it / hold the key above the fires of a new life and just drop it," is a call to let go of old fears and embrace new possibilities.

This album is definitely going to be the best album of 2015. Myka, Relocate is easily one of the best metalcore bands, period. This album is way exceeding my expectations. I was expecting a great album, not an album way better than their debut. I love these guys so much.

@Marksman5147

Ingested came out in 2015 lol..... as well as A Night In Texas and Lorna Shore's psalms. Make Them Suffer Old Souls as well but it wasn't very heavy at all
