She is the seventh child out of eight. Her career began with the musical groups: Obsesión, Conspiración, Ébano, Liberación and Compass. But her dream didn't come true until 2002. She was selected for the musical reality show in México "La Academia", during each concert Myriam made the people fall in love with her beautiful and strong voice. During this reality show she sang : "Como la Flor", "Mudanzas", "De mi enamorate", "Él me mintió", and others. After 5 months, the reality show came to an end in one of the most important places in Mexico, El Auditorio Nacional, where she was announced the winner.
Immediately EMI Music call Myriam to sign with them, the contract confirmed 5 years or 5 albums, at 1 week of being the winner of "La Academia" EMI resealed her first album which was a recompilation of the themes that Myriam sang in the reality show, the album sold 300,000 copies at two months of being available, toping the Mexican charts and being the first ex student from "La Academia" to get an award (2xPlatinium plus 2xGold), at this time the album had sold more than the half million copies.
Her second album, Una Mujer, was led by First single "Sin Ti No Hay Nada". This album included a song written by Soraya titled "Como Seria", which was later recorded by the singer songwriter and released as a single. The album reached 200,000 copies being double platinum. At this time, TV Azteca launched their first Desafio de Estrellas. Myriam was able to stay current with the audience and it served as promotion for her album. Myriam ended up winning third place to Yahir (1sr Place) and Nadia (2nd Place). After the show was over, a special edition of her album was released with studio versions of several of the songs she performed on Desafio de Estrellas, along with two unreleased songs, including "Amor Secreto" which was later recorded by Paulina Rubio for her album, Pau Latina, this album again reached platinum status by being in the first place of Mexican Charts.
In March 2004 Myriam performed her first concert in Auditorio Coca-Cola filling it. More than 23,000 people singing themes like "Sin ti no hay nada", "Mi Niño", "Mudanzas", etc.
In 2004 Myriam returned with her CD which in only 2 weeks reached gold status, selling more than 70,000 copies, Hasta El Limite was the 1st single of this material, and has been the single most successful of this talented singer, this material included compositions of Leonel from the famous duo Sin Bandera, from the Italian, Tiziano Ferro, and also has a theme composed by Estrella and Myriam; Porque Soy Mujer, which was the second single of the album. Months later this material reached Platinum Status.
A year later EMI resealed the fourth album of Myriam, which was a mix of pop, ballads and tex-mex, the first single of the material was Vete de Aqui which also was the name of the album. Traicionera, Fuego y Pasion [Fogo & Paxiao], Negra Pena and Lo Que Siento Es Amor, which is considered by experts, fans and EMI the best ballad from Myriam, were also singles from this material. The album had sold more than 50,000 copies.
Myriam returned 2007 with the tribute of Ana Gabriel, Simplemente Amigos (also the name of the 1st single), which entered to the top 10 of the most recognized music store at half of week the album was released, by the week it was in 1st place, being one of the most waited albums of Mexico and USA, automatically being 3xplatinium by reaching 300,000 sold copies in only 5 hours the material was available, although it wasn't heavily promoted by radio, many were excited by the return of "The Queen of the Academy". The second single is Mar & Arena.
EMI had just resealed in August 2007 the new album of Myriam named The Best Of... which includes all the singles of the artists plus a bonus disc which have the best songs that Myriam sung in "La Academia". All the songs are remastered having now a better sound. Although this material hasn't any type of promotion, at the week of being available is gold status for more than 55,000.
Myriam has just received an award from EMI (Internacional Music) "The Multiplatinuim Range" for the high sales of her materials, this award just had RBD and Robbie W. whose also sign with EMI. Myriam's albums are also available in Latin America and USA (Amazon, Ritmo Latino, Tower Records, Walmart, etc) where the albums Una Mujer, Myriam, Simplemente Amigos and The Best Of had reached gold status.
On June 2 of the present year Myriam release a new album "Cambio de Piel" which the singer said is her best album until know. It is 100% pop and with a little of rock, is her most ambitious proposal, with great composers as Mario Domm and Reyli Barba, also in this album we find again a song written by Myriam named "Sola". In the first day of being available a lot of stores in Mexico City, Veracruz, Monterrey and Guadalajara ran out of cds because of great demand. This material is surprising everyone that listens to it, EMI music is very surprised also because of the great advance that Myriam had in the last 6 year where she create a big fan base, and that public that had her achieve a lot of gold and platinum awards.
The amazing return of Myriam is just beginning...
Myriam reach the 4th place in the most important music store of Mexico, with no promotion at all... This prove that Myriam has a solid public, that let her to be an artist and not a shooting star.

Vete De Aquí
Myriam Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No sé que ganas con herirme.
Aunque la vida fuera eterna
Y tus palabras fueran ciertas
Nunca podría ser , como antes...
Que soy en tí...
Un pasatiempo al encontrarme.
La pena nace del dolor
Y tu naciste de una pena...
CORO
The lyrics to Myriam's song Vete De Aquí convey a sense of betrayal and hurt as the singer tells their lover to leave. The opening line "Vete de aquí..." ("Go away from here...") expresses the singer's desire for their lover to leave them alone as they no longer see any benefit in being hurt by them. They question their lover's motives, asking "No sé que ganas con herirme" ("I don't know what you gain from hurting me"), indicating that the relationship has turned toxic and hurtful.
The singer then reflects on the impossibility of repairing the relationship even if they were to continue together, saying "Aunque la vida fuera eterna y tus palabras fueran ciertas nunca podría ser, como antes..." ("Even if life were eternal and your words were true, it could never be like before..."). This suggests that the damage done to the relationship is too great to be repaired by any amount of time or denial.
In the chorus, the singer reiterates that their lover's pain carries a sentence that cannot be lifted by merely returning to them. They maintain that they would rather say goodbye than see a insincere return, stating "Primero te digo adiós que volver amor" ("I say goodbye to you first rather than returning love").
Overall, the lyrics to Vete De Aquí tell a story of a broken relationship and the singer's conviction to move on rather than accept an insincere return.
