It's All Over
N.R. Hills Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

And a cry came from the people as from a single heart
And it rose into the dusk and was carried over the sea
Like a great trumpeting
Ay
Oscillating between god and satan
Assalamualaikum all my rappers patient
Cost of racks, soul drained and painted
Partially hydrogenated
Resist the urge to digest the tainted
Muster courage and follow the ways
Ancient peoples always feared the pasture
Now we past that, it's the end of days
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
Now we past that it's the end of days
All we can do is be good and pray
Yeah
Ay
Oscillating between god and satan
Assalamualaikum all my rappers patient
Cost of racks, soul drained and painted
Partially hydrogenated
Resist the urge to digest the tainted
Muster courage and follow the ways
Ancient peoples always feared the pasture
Now we past that, it's the end of days
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
All we can do is be good and pray
Yeah
Oscillating between god and satan
Assalamualaikum all my rappers patient
Cost of racks, a soul drained and painted
Partially hydrogenated
Resist the urge to digest the tainted
Muster courage and follow the ways
Ancient peoples always feared the pasture
Now we past that, it's the end of days
Ay

Assalamualaikum all my rappers patient
Cost of racks, a soul drained and painted
Partially hydrogenated
Resist the urge to digest the tainted
Muster courage and follow the ways
Oscillating between god and satan
Assalamualaikum all my rappers patient
Cost of racks, a soul drained and painted
Partially hydrogenated
Resist the urge to digest the tainted
Muster courage and follow the ways
Ancient peoples always feared the pasture
Now we past that, it's the end of days
Ancient peoples always feared the pasture
Now we past that, it's the end of days
Now we past that, it's the end of days
All we can do is be good and pray
All around you is real
And so is the pain we all feel
All around you is real
And so is the pain we all feel
All around you is real
And so is the pain that we feel
All around you is real
And so is the pain that we feel
All around you is real
And that the pain that we feel
All around you is real
And that the pain that we feel
All around you is real
And that the pain that we feel

All around you is real
And that the pain that we feel

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to N.R. Hills's song It's All Over convey a sense of hopelessness and despair. The opening line of "No one sees the same shit that I do" immediately sets the tone for the rest of the song. The singer feels completely alone in their struggles and believes that no one else can truly understand what they are going through. This feeling of isolation is further emphasized in the following lines when the singer talks about how they are struggling to find their mask, implying that they feel like they need to hide their true self in order to fit in with society.

The chorus, with its repetition of the phrase "It's all gone in the dark," serves as a reminder that no matter how hard we try, everything eventually comes to an end. This concept is further explored in the later lines where the singer talks about life and death like a drug that can make us feel either euphoric or sober.

The song's title, "It's All Over," reinforces these themes of finality and inevitability. The verses, which address the singer's own personal struggles, are complemented by the chorus. It's as if the singer is reflecting on the fact that everyone, no matter who they are or what they do, will eventually reach the end of their journey.

Overall, N.R. Hills's song It's All Over is a haunting meditation on hopelessness, death, and the inevitable end of all things.

Hello, I'm actually the composer of this music (N. R. Hills), and I'd just like to say thanks for sharing my music on your platform. Edited versions of some of these tracks were later released on my CD compilation 'Eleven Nails In The Coffin', but the others I've not heard for many years, as my music was only released in small quantities and I don't think I've even got a copy of this tape myself! It's so nice to see that some people out there are still enjoying my music so many years after it was recorded.

@hellothere9298

Ur music is dope sir, thank you for making it and giving it life !

@bradleyhardacre

@@hellothere9298 So nice of you to say so... glad you like it!

@mynameisnotalfredo

You've become something of an underground legend in the dungeon synth community - something you may want to look up if you're not already aware.

@bradleyhardacre

Thanks so much for letting me know. Itโ€™s great to hear that some people out there still appreciate my music. I can see how tracks like โ€˜Romeo and The Beast, The Triumph of Death and The Boat of Nails might appeal to people with a penchant for dark electronica and itโ€™s so good to know that some folk are still managing to find them out there. Cheers, N R.
