The lyrics of N. Ohuchi A. Yamaguchi's song Opening portrays a scene wherein it is raining and the singer's shoes are wet. They observe a dog that belongs to the police, and upon looking at it, they think how clever it is. The singer talks about their clothes, stating that they don't have any trellis, and while they were looking around, a boy takes off his clasp and throws it to them. The singer isn't scared of the boy and realizes that they don't have anything to fear.
The second half of the song shows the singer's vulnerability and longing for companionship. The singer pleads for a faithful dog to be given to them, hoping that it would stick with them through thick and thin. They ask for shoes, repeating it several times in the song. They assure themselves and their friends that everything will be fine.
