Until I Die
NF Lyrics

I'll keep swingin' for the fences
It's like this heart is defenseless
Against the passion that's pumpin' through my veins
Blood, sweat, tears, it's a callin'
And if I can't walk, then I'm crawlin'
It might flicker, but they can't kill the flame

I can't stop I can't quit
It's in my heart It's on my lips
I can't stop, no I can't quit
It's in my heart, yeah I'm all in

'Til the wheels fall off
'Til the spotlight fades
I will lift your banner high
I will lift your banner high
And 'til the walls crash in
For the rest of my days
I'll lay it all on the line
'Til the day I die
'Til the day I die
'Til the end of the line
'Til the day I die
It's Your name I'll glorify

It's runnin' deeper than the ocean
This ain't religion, it's devotion
Three, six, five, every minute, everyday
So in the middle of the madness
They can stretch me out like canvas
But I ain't ever gonna fit in their frame

I can't stop I can't quit
It's in my heart It's on my lips
I can't stop, no I can't quit
It's in my heart, yeah I'm all in

'Til the wheels fall off
'Til the spotlight fades
I will lift your banner high
I will lift your banner high
And til the walls crash in
For the rest of my days
I'll lay it all on the line
'Til the day I
'Til the day I die
'Til the end of the line
'Til the day I die
It's Your name I'll glorify

'Til I die and they put me in the coffin
Don't matter if I'm on the road or if I'm recordin'
Tell me what you think about me, that really ain't important
You know I'mma represent um, I ain't playin', can't afford to
I only got one life and I get it though
And this is not an act, not a movie, not a TV show
I don't know what quittin' means, I don't ever take it slow
You know I'm on the grind, me and Toby in the studio
Do it for the King, what you know about that?
Say you goin' harder, mmm I doubt that'
You say you doin' work, but you're asking where the couch at
How you doin' work when you asking where the couch at?
God is not a crutch, you can use Him when you wanna
You only look to heaven when you goin' through some drama
And when they goin' through some problems and that's the only time they call Him
I guess I don't understand that life, wonder why 'cause I'm all in
'Til the day I die

'Til the wheels fall off
'Til the spotlight fades
I will lift your banner high I will lift your banner high
And 'til the walls crash in
For the rest of my days
I'll lay it all on the line
'Til the day I ('Til the day I)
'Til the day I die
'Til the day I
'Til the day I die
'Til the end of the line
'Til the day I ('till the day I)
'Til the day I, 'til the day, I fly

'Til the day I die
'Til the end of the line

Overall Meaning

The song "Until I Die" by NF is an expression of his devotion to God and his commitment to living a life for the glory of his name. In the opening verse, he uses a baseball metaphor to describe his determination to keep going despite the challenges he faces. He feels that his heart is defenseless against the passion and drive that runs through his veins. He is willing to give his blood, sweat, and tears to fulfill his calling, even if it means crawling when he can no longer walk. Though he may falter at times, he believes that nothing can extinguish the flame burning within him.

In the second verse, NF emphasizes that his faith is not just a religion but a devotion that is a part of every minute of his life. He is committed to living according to God's will, even amidst the madness that surrounds him. He refuses to compromise his values or bend to the pressure of those trying to fit him into their frame. He affirms that he will glorify God and lay it all on the line until the end of his days, even if that means dying for what he believes in.

The final verses are a rap-style expression of NF's unwavering commitment to God in the face of criticism and adversity. He proclaims that he is not just putting on a show or acting for the cameras, but that he is truly devoted to his mission. He criticizes those who use God as a crutch, only turning to Him in times of trouble. Finally, he reaffirms his pledge to lift God's banner high and declare his name until his dying breath, never taking his foot off the pedal until the end of the line.

This is freakin' amazing! He needs to do a re-release of his Moments Album. It's so perfect, so underground.

@danielevans3711

Right?! I just found this album haha. I know so many eminem comparisons, but I couldn't help but say in these old songs that they sound so alike!

@agiles777

Chris Ro yes he does

@djcrobo2877

Legit!

@djcrobo2877

Yo! NF def needs to release these older albums! They are fire! And it'll shut up all the critics that say he only raps about himself! He always had God in his songs. Back then, he gave God his First Fruits. Now he is continuing to use the gifts God gave him, but also show the world that he has leveled up so much more as a rapper and has grown much better then where he started off. He has found his one style and honed it! He started off sounding a lot like Eminem, but now he's got his own style! Get these Re-released NF!

@heathermariemccullough7064

Yes!!

@samgugloo8226

He is not revealing that he is a Christian, he is afraid, he is denying as Peter did, his songs WAS fire, and the sad thing is now he really raps for himself, not for the Lord, he needs to grow in the Lord more.

@LECityLECLEC

@Sam Gugloo Wait these songs aren't released? THEY ARE SO GOOD!

@julianclement7822

@Sam Gugloo "next year I might do something like talking to God more" he says this in change. I think he may have been trying to get people's attention and next album he may hopefully rap more in his name

@juliangordy9400

@Sam Gugloo really , listen to the words and put your mind into the words and know he is a good God fearing man that is using his talent to reach out and catch the blind , hurt and lost and use his talent to honor God and help the fans catch the love an all
