General Caeser
Here after seeing her daughters Idol audition. This brings back memories. On a side note, it's hard to imagine that she had a 4 year old already in this video. Smokin' body and she's smokin' to this day!
Jessica Davis
@General Caeser gotcha. Thanks😊
General Caeser
@Jessica Davis She auditioned on season 4 and her daughter was 4yo at the time is my understanding.
Jessica Davis
I thought she auditioned 17 years ago, and her daughter is 17 now?
Deidra Godfrey
Same. Just watched daughter so had to come see mom

She was definitely a favorite for mine that season. She was one of the only ones in the earlier years who understood PERFORMING. I was always excited for her song selection, wardrobe and her voice ( though yes not the BEST in the competi, so what...it was NEVER a singing competition. Because if it WERE it would be judged solely by people who were trained singers and vocal coaches) ...HER voice was still BETTER than the majority of the people she WAS competing with and BETTER than a few who went further than in her in a SINGING competition. My favorite perfor.ance of hers was actually Time After Time and I never understood why the judges were so harsh on their judging. I hope her daughter works on her upper register and her performance energy. Her lower register was nice but not sure she is strong enough as the show has evolved to more of a singing acrobat Olympics as it has gone on.
Jude Kay
Brian Farley, totally agree. And if it were a singing competition they wouldn't show the sob stories, or even the back stories. Nadia was my favorite too, and have googled her over the years hoping that she would have wild success!

I remember her…really loved her voice! She was a great talent, and voted for her all the time! ❤️ Simon was so harsh. 😞 Now watching her daughter on Idol. Has a beautiful tone! 😍

I feel like Nadia was so overlooked in season 4. She was miles better than Scott Savol and Anthony Fedorov. And she showed so much more personality on stage than, say, Carrie Underwood who always looked vacant and blank when she sang. I didn't think Nadis would win, but for me she was worthy of making the top 5 or so at least. Her voice was so powerful and I loved her funky style.
Also it's dumb how they criticized her for the song choice this week. She was a bit pitchy, but she sang it WAY better than Kellie Pickler, who sang the same song during the semi finals the next season (and she sang it worse than Nadia did), but the judges praised her performance. Ugh!
Also thanks for uploading all these videos from the earlier seasons of American Idol! They really take me back to high school when I would watch it obsessively and vote every single week lol

sboudreaux27 She was robbed! She had grit. She was way better than Bo Bice and blunt Carrie Underwood
