Lustre was one of the original members of girl group,ย Pop Girlsย which was launched byย Viva Entertainmentย in 2009. Also in the group with Lustre are twins Lailah and Mariam Bustria, Diana Pama Aller, Rose Ginkel, andย Shy Carlos. She eventually left the group to start a solo music career.
In 2014, Lustre released her self-titled debut album underย Viva Records. It had hit singles such asย Para-paraan, Paligoy-ligoy, No Erase, Bahala Na, and Hanap-hanap; the last three songs mentioned she collaborated withย James Reid, who later on became Lustre's onscreen and real life partner couple.
In 2015, her songย Me and You, from her self-titled album, was given the Titanium Award byย SBS PopAsia, which is a popular Australian music show that broadcasts Asian pop hits on digital radio, online and on mobile devices such as music videos ofย K-popย idols inย South Korea. Lustre is among other famous artists likeย K-popย groupsย Super Junior,ย U-KISSย andย EXOย who had songs that achieved Titanium status.
Lustre andย Callalilyย vocalistย Kean Ciprianoย interpreted the song written by Mark Villar (not theย Las Piรฑasย Congressman) entitledย Sa Ibang Mundoย for the 2015ย PhilPopย songwriting competition. They earned theย People's Choice Awardย and the song was the second runner-up during the 2015ย PhilPop's finals night held on July 25, 2015 at the Meralco Theater.
Also in 2015, Lustre collaborated withย Yassi Pressman's song,ย Hush, where Lustre showed off her rap skills. Lustre and partnerย James Reidย also released their own version of the song "On The Wings of Love" for theirย teleseryeย with the same name.
In theย 2016 Philippines Myx Music Awards, Lustre won Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video for her song "Me and You". She also won Favorite Artist and Favorite Female Artist. Lustre also bagged the Favorite Collaboration award for her song "Hanap-Hanap" with Reid.
Lustre and Reid in 2016 also released their own version of the song "This Time" underย Viva Recordsย which was used for their movie with the same name.
In 2017, Lustre collaborated with Bret Jackson in a song calledย Nowhere I Wouldn't Go, which was included in the latter's album.
In January 2018, Lustre released her first single under Careless Music Manila, an independent music label started byย James Reid. The song is called St4y Up. Lustre worked with Reid and music producer CRWN for the song's production. In the same month, she released a music video directed by Petersen Vargas for the single.ย In March, Lustre and Reid released a cover of Sugarfree'sย Promย as part of the official soundtrack of the romance movieย Never Not Love You,ย which they also star in.
In October 2018, Lustre released three songs under theย Careless Mixtape, which consists of songs from various artists of the record label Careless Music Manila. The songs areย I Like It, which Lustre herself wrote,ย Summerย andย Nobody, which are duets with James Reid and Sofia Romualdez, respectively.

Nadine and the whole production behind her album have made a huge change in the way Original Filipino Music are usually created. There's nothing wrong with the western feel. Everyone has a different taste in music though I still see bits of our tradition and culture on her music videos and that's something still very nationalistic.
