Oh my goodness, how can I have reached 68 years old and not seen 'The Rake's Progress'. Just 1 min 30 seconds was all it took for me to know that I must have this opera - and more specifically, this particular production, in my DVD library. A quick trip over to Amazon and it's now on its way to me. Thank you Glyndebourne for the many, many years of joy you have brought to my life.

Oh, friend. I saw it first at 55, at the Met, just last year. It is absolutely thrilling. This Glyndebourne production I've known about since art school, as it was designed by David Hockney. But I never knew the music, story, history. It's right up there with one of my favorites.
