Nagat's real name is Nagat Mohammad Mahmoud. She is an Egyptian singer who was born in Cairo, Egypt. Her father was Mohammad Hosni Effendi, a calligrapher, who played the Oud very well. She has an elder bother called Ezzeldien who wrote music for her. She is the older sister of the diva actress Souad Hosni who died in a mysterious accident in the mid-2000s.

Canım yazarım Murat Menteş'in sayesinde tanıştım bu canımın içi şarkıyla. Şarkı da diyemiyorum aslında, bambaşka bir şey bu. Yüreğimi acıtıyor bu şarkı ama yüreğimi en ferahlatan da yine bu şarkı. Gözlerim doluyor, boğazım düğümleniyor, olmayan dertler ediniyorum aniden. Ve sonra içime bir huzur doluyor, Nagat El Saghira ciğerlerime nefes üflüyor sanki sesiyle. Hayatımda böyle bir parça duymadım. 17 yaşındayım, nasıl hissedebiliyorum böyle? Nasıl gözlerim doluyor bu yaşımda? Nasıl hislere boğuluyorum daha aklım bile başımda değilken? Öyle güzel, öyle narin, öyle saf ve oyle naif ki bu parça. Bu dünya için fazla güzel... Gözlerinden öpüyorum be kadın, sesine sarılayım yüreğini sarmalayayım.
