Another instant soca hit here from Nailah! I am also loving the steelpan element in this song featuring Boogsie Sharpe. I know Boogsie loves to go with his own compositions for Panorama but I reckon Phase II can win Panorama next year for sure if they play this song which is guaranteed to be very popular with everyone come T&T Carnival 2018 next year!
Panorama is missing the good old days when the songs played by most of the bands in the Panorama Finals were also the most popular songs in the Soca/Carnival fetes and we need to get back to those days if Panorama wants to draw sellout crowds again at the Panorama Finals! Panorama Semis should never be drawing bigger crowds than the Finals as has been happening for quite a number of years now!!

Well by that definition any other genre that makes you feel that way could be defined as soca, and I disagree with that. That just gives ppl leeway to call everything under the sun soca. Soca is called soca for a reason, and not dancehall, hip hop, calypso etc. So everyone saying this isn't soca have a point imo.

I just checked and all Nailah's releases so far are hits and she either wrote or was the main person involved in writing all of them. Nailah already has 3 back-to-back soca hits so far with well over million YouTube views.
In fact her first hit "Work Out" released less than a year ago now has approaching 7 millions YouTube views;
"Baila Mami" has approaching 5 million YouTube views and was released in late April this year;
"Badishh" released in 2nd half of August this year is currently on well over 2.5 million YouTube views;
This latest release "SOKAH" is clocking over 25,000 YouTube views per day since its release this Tuesday which means at current rate this track will be near or passed 1 million YouTube views sometime between Christmas and New Year's Day.
So all the folks criticizing please note that you can criticize all you want but Nailhah seems to be doing something right since she burst onto the soca scene and into the limelight earlier this year during the 2017 Carnival season.
