1) Naked Lunch is a band from Klagenfurt, Austria, founded in 1991. They started out as an alternative rock band mixing hard rock guitars and fragile vocals. Naked Lunch Lyrics

now it's coming
refrain:
We've been touching our heaven
above us
Now it comes to save our days
Now it comes to save our days
We've been hiding in our places
for so long now
refrain
The lyrics of Naked Lunch's song In the Dark seem to hint at a sense of anticipation and waiting, potentially for something life-changing. The first verse reads, "We've been waiting for so long now, now it's coming." This line creates a sense of expectation, and the repetition of "now" adds emphasis to the idea that the wait is finally over. The repeated refrain "We've been touching our heaven above us, now it comes to save our days" feels like a hopeful prayer, as if the singers are urging an intervention from a higher power. The idea of being saved adds further weight to the sense of waiting for something significant.
The second verse adds a layer of intimacy to the song, with the lyrics "In the dark - I watch you while you sleep." This line conveys a sense of closeness and vulnerability, with the darkness suggesting a quiet and private moment shared between two people. The verse that precedes it ("We've been hiding in our places for so long now") creates a sense of secrecy or isolation, perhaps hinting at the idea that the two people are isolated from the rest of the world and only have each other.
Overall, the combination of these lyrical elements creates a sense of anticipation, intimacy, and hope, with the repeated refrain building to a crescendo of longing for a savior or higher power to intervene.
