Open your eyes
and see the child you are

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Open Your Eyes" by Nalin & Kane convey a powerful message of self-reflection and personal growth. The opening line urges the listener to open their eyes and see the child they are, implying that there is a part of them that is innocent and in need of nurturing. This line could also represent the inner child - the part of oneself that often gets forgotten or suppressed due to the pressures and responsibilities of adulthood. By acknowledging and connecting with this part of oneself, the listener can better understand their own needs and desires.

The overall theme of the song is one of self-discovery and empowerment. The lyrics encourage the listener to take ownership of their life and make positive changes. The repeated chorus line, "Open your eyes and see the world that stands before you now," suggests that the listener has the power to shape their own reality by changing their perspective and taking action. The song encourages the listener to embrace their authenticity, recognize their worth, and live their life with purpose and intention.

Great memories from summer in Ibiza 1999/2000 - sitting outside of cafe del mar drinking aftershock... Best time of my life, happy to be a part of that! Now it feels like the majority of music being produced has absolutely no soul, no feeling... And regarding Paul Oakenfolds essential mix 2000, that is seriously the best mix of all time, hands down! It captures the whole vibe of that era!

@Arkytera

Totally agree bro.

Beste...schöne Erinnerungen...😊

That's right. Bruno Quartier is credited for 'Open Your Eyes' under the name 'At The Villa People' along with Etienne Vandewiele. This came out in 1996 and was a (club) hit in Belgium. Three years later some opportunists got the license of it and re released the song when trance got mainstream, under their name.

I dont care if its was At the villa people or Nalin and Kane, both are amazing. One of my top10 from the 90's.
