Ajram was born on May 16th, 1983 to Nabil Ajram and Rimonda Oun, as the eldest of two siblings, Nadine Nariman Ajram and Nabil Ajram Jr. She started singing at the age of eight, when she appeared for the first time in 1991 at a singing contest for kids on national television in Lebanon. In 1995, at the age of twelve, Nancy Ajram took part in the entertainment show, Noujoum Al-Moustakbal, ("Stars of the Future"), a Lebanese television musical competition, winning a gold medal in the Tarab category after singing a song by Umm Kulthum.
Ajram studied music following her early success with renowned Lebanese musicians and although she was less than 18 years old, the syndicate of professional artists in Lebanon accepted her as a member because they found her to be an exceptional talent and deserved to be qualified as a professional artist. Shortly afterwards Nancy released her first album, Mihtagalak ("I Need You') in 1998, with most of its songs holding a pure Tarab style, thus starting her music career at the age of 15. It was followed by Sheel Oyoonak Anni ("Take Your Eyes Off Of Me") in 2000, which achieved more success.

In the song "Ellee Can" by Nancy Ajram, the singer expresses her overwhelming love for someone who has transformed her life completely. The lyrics reflect her strong emotions and the extent to which her life has been positively impacted by this person. In the first verse, Nancy recalls her life before this special person came into her life, saying that she wasn't truly living until she met them. However, now that she has found love, she cannot imagine life without it, wishing that if she were to die, it were before this person so that she wouldn't have to experience life without them.
Through the chorus, Nancy repeats how she had never experienced anything so beautiful until she fell in love with this person, and she cannot explain what has tied her heart to them so strongly. In the last verse, Nancy reiterates how her life would have been incomplete without them, expressing the depth of her love, and wishing to die before losing them.
The song is an expression of pure love and how it can completely transform one's life. The need to hold on to the feeling of this love is so strong that the singer cannot imagine life without it. It is a reminder that true love is a rare and beautiful thing that should be cherished and held on to whenever we are lucky enough to find it.
