As a teen I saw my father day by day, laying on the carpet pray for our family and with JS music in the bacground. I grew up with this.
My father pass at 83 and me at 60 I still remembers the songs my dad and I sang together, Touching Jesus, Its not over until the trumpet sounds. For so many years I just wished I could told JS what his ministry ment to us as a family and as his life is slowly fading away I might never have the opportunity to do so.

I love how he captivates my interest when he ministers, how great thou art. He touches so many lives.Kinda saddened to know that he too fell prey to his carnal temptation. Much sympathy to his wife. It must of been really devastating for her. When learn’t of his misconducts , it sort of made me feel quite empty inside. We have to be forgiving, the Word of God say’s. There is a lot of honest emotion, born out of a deep love for his Savior, which l absolutely admire !!! I can just pray to follow in his example of trust in the Lord! There's nothing sad about Jimmy Swaggart! He has saved many a soul and helped others to push their musical talents to the hilt. He has a most awesome family that others would die to have. @Thirsty the Clown You do not express a christian view that is scriptural. We ALL are sinners, we ALL deserve to die, but for the Blood of Jesus, we can rest in what he did at the Cross. It is not up to us to judge Jimmy, as you must already know that God is the final judge. Repent does not mean that you must confess all your sins in public, but you have acknowledged your sin, asked for forgiveness, and have changed your ways. Study scripture my friend.

The initial incident some 33+ years back was obviously a setup for a defrocked preacher against Jimmy by the name of Marvin Gorman (no relation). Yes, it was messy and although Gorman was guilty, he won a defamation lawsuit to the tune of 10M bucks against Jimmy later in 1991. Jimmy was taken to the woodshed so to speak in a legal means, but only the Lord knows that Marvin was not “sinless” in what he did to his flock that led Jimmy to get him defrocked. Note, that there was substantial evidence at the time to have Gorman defrocked, but his rage against Jimmy was all consuming. A civil lawsuit is not like a criminal court action in that the preponderance of the law is much less required. Note also that the said “hooker” in another trap set for Jimmy failed a lie-detector test, but the dirt had already been thrown. After 60 years in broadcast history, he has the largest Christian Broadcast Network (SonLife) and has a large church in Baton Rouge with 50K+ followers, so the story is not over here….. A Church can not be pastored by an Evangelist...but that is what is going on in Baton rouge, Louisiana.
There is No accountability to a Board of Elders for the Swaggarts...and their family runs roughshod over the Congregation in outright Sacrilege. (Donnie has been Divorced Twice...but he is still in the pulpit...isn't there any grass to mow on the campus for a job for a Wayward son?)

I watch SBN off and on all day, everyday. And Pastor Swaggart is getting older but he is still very healthy for his age. I don't see an ending to him at all. I think the Lord will use him for a long time to come. He is my Pastor and I believe his ministry is touching millions.

...everything is fine , Tommy...as long as one merely watches the Services;
I had some sincere questions about some things they were preaching...such as one can lose their Salvation ...
I sent 6 months of Email to them ...and didn't get one reply - but I know they weren't dead... because my monthly offerings were promptly posted and acknowledged !
So what's up with Baton rouge?? The Offerings department is working fine...yet email questions from the donors are out of order!?
