@Nathaniel Lowry Ah, so I'm not the only one who was affected by this masterpiece? Tom Cruise is an underrated actor, I think. He doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

Vanilla Sky was one of those films that absolutely dripped with a 'feeling'. Very atmospheric, and the payoff at the end is spectacular, though bittersweet.

There are a few other films that also have "a feeling" to them. Lost in Translation is another great film, though, of course, it doesn't quite compare with Vanilla Sky.

There's a Tom Hanks film that also has "a feeling" to it. It's the one where he lives in an airport terminal. I think it's called Terminal 'something'. That's also worth checking out.

Do you have any other recommendations for films that have a 'feeling' to them?

Thanks for the reply, Nathaniel! ☺

I'm so happy, that after 22 years, this film is starting to get the love and respect it deserves. What a film.

I don't understand why this film is so reviled! I think it's by FAR Tom's best performance! That score is heavenly. I honestly don't think Cameron Crowe has made a single bad film.

It’s because it’s a remake of a Spanish film called Open Your Eyes. Penelope Cruz plays the same character. People just can’t seem to enjoy both.

@freddybeer

@Connor Stephens - Yeah, could definitely be that.

@ispeakmymind696

@Connor Stephens I loved both the films! There isn't any movie I've seen that comes close to both of these!

most underrated movie of all time, hands down

Nancy Wilson is a real artist. So is Cameron Crowe. True art is never recognized by the masses.
