Gone
Naomi Lyrics

Charms to arm and trade
Tell me to go, tell me to go, tell me to go
But if it's too hot, sorry
It's too hot sorry you know
And I will be gone, gone, gone
I will be gone, gone, gone
You said it's all the same
You'll take all the blame
You sat on a wall and had a great fall
You had a great fall
Now, look at all the great horses
All the great horses
And I will be gone, gone, gone
Yes, I will be gone, gone, gone
Tell me to go, tell me to go, tell me to go
Just like all the great horses
All the great horses
And I will be gone, gone, gone
Yes, I will be gone, gone, gone
The song "Gone" by Naomi is a melancholic and emotional ballad that talks about the consequences of bad choices and the inevitability of accepting the consequences that come with them. The opening lines "Stupid choices made, Charms to arm and trade" seem to refer to someone who has made some poor decisions, and now faces the undesirable outcome of having to leave everything they know behind. The repetition of the phrase "tell me to go" indicates a certain level of resignation, as if the singer knows that leaving is the only logical choice.
The lines "But if it's too hot, sorry, It's too hot sorry you know" suggest that the singer is willing to accept the consequences of their actions, even if it means facing difficult circumstances, and once again reinforces the idea of inevitability. The chorus serves as a powerful declaration of the singer's intent to leave, with the repetition of "I will be gone, gone, gone" hammering home the idea that there's no turning back.
The second verse of the song seems to indicate that the singer is no longer alone in their situation, and that someone else has also suffered because of the same bad choices. "You said it's all the same, You'll take all the blame" could be interpreted as the other person accepting responsibility for their own mistakes, even if they weren't the ones to make them. The line "you sat on a wall and had a great fall" is a clear reference to the nursery rhyme "Humpty Dumpty," adding to the sorrowful and nostalgic tone of the song. The allusion to horses in the lines "Now, look at all the great horses, All the great horses" seems to suggest that everything is still moving forward, even if the singer is no longer a part of it.
Overall, "Gone" is a poignant reminder of the importance of taking responsibility for our own actions and accepting the consequences that come with them. The repetition of phrases throughout the song is a powerful tool, driving home the inevitability of the situation and the determination of the singer to face it head on.

This version is different from the one i know, there is another synth, reverb on the vocals at the beginning, choirs, a true drum, and some new guitar parts, some doubled ones... That's nice, even if i already loved the way the album version was.
