Autumnal Equinox
Narsilion Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Autumn...
The cry of the sky
In my cristaline dreams...
The Wind...
Whisper of my heart
Fortress of my soul...
Silence...
The eyes of the sad
Master of my night...
The moon...
Enchant of the woods
Silver light of nature...

Autumn...
The call of the rain
Lost tears in my hands...
Dreaming...
Return to the past
In the garden of light...
Magic...
The realm of the life
And the eternity
Essence...
The autumnal caress
Beyond the infinity...

Autumn...
The cry of the sky
In my cristaline dreams...
The Wind...
Whisper of my heart
Fortress of my soul...
Silence...
The eyes of the sad
Master of my night...
The moon...

Enchant of the woods
Silver light of nature...

Overall Meaning

The song "Autumnal Equinox" by Narsilion is a wistful ode to the autumn season. The lyrics are filled with imagery and metaphors that capture the essence of autumn's beauty and melancholy. The opening lines, "Autumn... The cry of the sky in my cristaline dreams..." set the tone for the rest of the song. The singer is describing how the autumn sky and its crying seem to find its way into his or her dreams. This could suggest the feeling of being overwhelmed by the emotions that autumn elicits.

The Wind, which is described as the whisper of the singer's heart and fortress of the soul, may represent the powerful force that the season possesses. The Wind may also symbolize the transience and fragility of life. Meanwhile, Silence could be attributed to the sadness and somberness of the season. The lyrics mention how the sad eyes of Silence are master of the singer's night, suggesting that autumn brings about insomnia and a feeling of sadness.

The moon in the song is referred to as the enchantress of the woods and silver light of nature, evoking the magical and ethereal qualities of the autumn period. The words "magic," "realm of life," "eternity," and "autumnal caress beyond infinity" in the later half of the song, possibly imply a longing for something lasting that one can hold on to amid the ephemerality of the autumn season.

Came here to just type something, nothing special.

2011, the year I was turning 14, the year of hardships for me at school, and the year my parents finally decided to end their 31-year marriage in March 2011 when we found he had been cheating on us with another woman for 6 years at that time. It was upon my mother's request to put all of the emotional, mental abuse by my father an end.

I was grateful to God that the man finally decided to let us go from being under his wrecked shelter and abandonment, and I can never tell how much abuse we went through because of him, someone I could never forgive until the day I die, and someone I never even once consider him as my father. After all of the financial settlements and the divorce, we finally felt peace in our lives, for the first time, but sadly that peacefulness was only for a short period of time.

In May, that bloody old man sent spiritual and mystical disturbances to our house and oh dear Lord, only He who knew what went around me and my family at that time. It was also the first time I became spiritually sick with these ghosts living in my body, that was dragged to a couple of years ahead, including the time I nearly jumped off a building from the 2nd floor at my campus. 2011 was the year that all traumas came to life, and up until today, I still cannot understand how my family and I could still live in that shady, gloomy 40-year-old house, with having demons disturbing every day and night, even at school, even at work, but I guess, it was all by the grace of God. I remember how frequent we went out during weekends almost every week. We were fed up, felt hopeless because we only have the four of us as a family, not having any other familial connections from any aunties or uncles from both sides of my parents, and absolutely angry.

And this album was there, playing in the car throughout the haunting year. The comfort Narsilion has given to us...the experience, during that time was unforgettable. The car itself felt more homely more than our actual house. Every time when we got in the car to go somewhere, I always wish that I didn't have to go back to that house again. Narsilion is one of my ways to escape from reality, at least in my mind, just to numb the pain. They have helped me so much in coping with life. Can never thank them enough for creating such beautiful melodies. A masterpiece.
