In Natasa Theodoridou's song Den S'Adiko, the singer addresses a former lover, acknowledging that she was not to blame for finding another love. Instead, she accepts responsibility for her weak soul that couldn't hold onto their love. Even though the lover has moved on and they will never be together again, the singer knows that she will be haunted by the "why" of their breakup for the rest of her life. She then pleads with God not to let her drink the glass of wine before dawn because she is no longer loved. The lyrics continue with the singer lamenting that her lover never granted her a single wish and that he was not the love that she thought he was. In the chorus, the singer repeats the phrase "you were not love, you were Golgotha," which is a powerful metaphor for the pain that the lover has caused her.
The lyrics of Den S'Adiko are deep and emotional, touching on the universal themes of love and heartbreak. The metaphor of Golgotha, which is the place where Jesus was crucified, adds an element of religious and spiritual significance. It suggests that the pain that the lover has caused the singer is profound and life-changing, much like the crucifixion. The use of the first person in the lyrics makes it personal and relatable to anyone who has gone through a breakup. Overall, the song is a powerful expression of heartbreak and the difficulty of moving on from a lost love.

I don't blame you
that you have found another love
It's my fault, I have a weak soul
that it will never be the same again
and for a lifetime I will be haunted by the 'why'
God, please don't let me drink this glass
before dawn breaks, now that you no longer love me
You never granted me any of my wishes
you weren't love,
you were a Calvary
that you have left me in nothingness
that you don't fit, inside of my own
that you want us to remain as two friends
and you ask for it with a kiss like that of Judas'
you weren't love
you were love
you were a Calvary

you were a Calvary

in June, in Neos Marmaras at the celebration of the Holy Trinity, I heard this song for the first time, a local band played with a little singer. I listened and cried even though I didn't understand anything. Today I finally found it. ❤️ from Serbia. forever.
