Feeling tired keeps passing you by
You're counting by the minute, losing and your winning
Always feeling one step behind
As your working every hour god sends
And you're burning a candle both ends
Trying to earn a living but everything you're giving
Is getting thrown back in your faceOh I hear you say the same thing every day but not anymore there's a much better way
Get up, get out, start living the dream
Stand up, stand out you know what I mean
Get up, get out, your well on your way
Stand up, stand out let's starting today
Even though the day when the struggle is real
Get up, get out and shout start living the dream
Well if you're sitting there thinking that's me and your starting to smile and agree
You know that you can figure a risk you gotta take it
It's all about the leap of faith
Oh I used to say same thing every day but not anymore there's a much better way
Get up, get out, start living the dream
Stand up, stand out you know what I mean
Get up, get out your well on your way
Stand up, stand out let's starting today
Even though the day when the struggle is real
Get up, get out and shout
You know it's better to just ask forgiveness
Than permission when it's already done
Get up, get out, start living the dream
Stand up, stand out you know what I meanGet up, get out your well on your way
Stand up, stand out let's starting today
Get up, get out
Get up, get out, start living the dream
Stand up, stand out you know what I mean
Get up, get out your well on your way
Stand up, stand out let's starting today
Even though the day when the struggle is real
Get up, get out and shout start living the dream
Oh yeah, start living the dream
Start living the dream
Start living the dream
Start living the dream
Start living the dream
The lyrics of Nathan Carter's song "Livin' the Dream" convey a powerful message of encouragement and empowerment for those who feel stuck in a rut or struggling to make progress in life. The song begins by painting a picture of someone who is tired of waiting in line, feeling like life is passing them by, and constantly playing catch up. The imagery of working every hour, burning the candle at both ends, and feeling like everything they give is being thrown back in their face, captures a sense of frustration and disillusionment with the daily grind. The repetition of feeling one step behind emphasizes the feeling of constant struggle and frustration.
The chorus of the song serves as a rallying cry for the listener to break free from this cycle of stagnation and start living the dream. The commands to "get up, get out" and to "stand up, stand out" are calls to action, urging the listener to take control of their life and pursue their dreams with determination and courage. The lyrics convey a sense of urgency and a belief that a better way of living is possible if one is willing to take risks and make bold choices. The mention of a leap of faith emphasizes the importance of taking chances and stepping out of one's comfort zone in order to pursue one's dreams.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of not waiting for permission to pursue one's dreams, but rather asking for forgiveness later. This sentiment suggests a willingness to take risks and make decisions without hesitation, trusting in one's own instincts and abilities. The repetition of the chorus throughout the song reinforces the message of empowerment and self-belief, encouraging the listener to take charge of their life and start living the dream they have been longing for. The overall tone of the song is optimistic and uplifting, providing a sense of hope and inspiration for those who may be feeling stuck or uncertain about their future.
In conclusion, "Livin' the Dream" by Nathan Carter is a motivational anthem that encourages listeners to break free from feelings of limitation and embrace the possibilities that come with taking risks and pursuing one's dreams. The song's lyrics convey a message of empowerment, self-belief, and courage, urging individuals to step out of their comfort zones and start living a life that is true to their aspirations. Through its uplifting chorus and powerful imagery, the song inspires listeners to seize the moment and embark on a journey towards a more fulfilling and intentional way of living.
