As a veteran who served in the Army in Afghanistan I was in tears throughout this movie. Lifted is not only a tribute to the fallen heroes but also a great way for the rest of us who made it back to say one last Thank You to our brothers and sisters who didn't make it back. My Dad went to Vietnam. I was eleven. I never thought he would make it home. He did. I lived on a an AF base until I went to college. Before dad died, four years ago, the last thing he said to me is that he was going to be in God's army. I miss him so much. This movie brought me to tears.

Lost a brother-in-law 12/18/65, in Vietnam, same day I married his younger brother. The brother-in-law left 3 young children and a pregnant wife. That baby became ‘my son from another mother’ and my son are more like brothers than cousins. My son, now grown, served in Iraq. Our military is the best. A salute to all of those who served. OMG...I just watched this movie and I am literally crying 😢 This kid blew me away with his singing. Knockin on Heavens doors hit home with me. Im a Daddy's girl and I loss my father to cancer a year ago and i haven't arranged for his burial yet because it's hard for me to let go and move on. I still have his ahes and I can feel his spirit watching over me and my family. As i was watching this movie I thought about what he said to me before he passed. He said "It's time for you to live your life. I Thank you for all you've done for me, now it's time for you to move on and take care of you're family." Im trying Dad...I just miss you so much😥 My Father was also military. He served as a Sergeant in the Korean war. Its time for me to let go and let God. I've lived in Birmingham all my life. I didn't know about the movie prier to watching. This is a very touching movie too. I know of loss because my earthly father served in World War II. He may not have been on the front lines, but he served where he would have been needed. He was in the Army and he also joined the Air Corps to become a pilot. He also trained 3 Battalions of black soldiers wanting to learn how to fly. My earthly dad was credited for successfully training these wonderful men during these trying times. All men who joined the military should be credited for giving their all when the call comes in to serve. GOD BLESS THESE WONDERFUL MEN WHO SACRIFICED WHEN THE CALL CAME IN 💞💞💞

Thank you so much for this beautiful movie. My son was in a war of sorts for ten years. It wasn't on an earthly battlefield, but a spiritual one. His war was with heroin addiction. I prayed for him, I resuscitated him more than once. I pleaded and begged him and the Lord to make it stop. He overdosed forty times over the ten years. Fortieth one took him home last April. It's been the very hardest year I've ever spent in my entire life. I thought those ten years were hard, but it didn't compare to knowing I would never be able to hold him, or tell him how much he was loved ever again. I feel like I'm covered in battle scars. So I think I have an idea of the pain of the families of the fallen soldiers and I praise God every day for every single moment that he shared him with me. Thank you Jesus for movies like this. They really, really give others hope, and strengthen our faith. Praise God Almighty 🙏🙏 GOD BLESS YOU 🙏

My mom , dad, my uncle , and ex step-dad (all Army) fought in the Gulf War. My brother (a Marine) fought in Afghanistan, when he was only 19. My sister served in the Navy. I appreciate ALL that our service members do. May the blood of the Lamb cover them and keep them safe.

I typed in uplifting movies, and somehow came across this movie !! As tears running down my cheeks I write this. The part where the dad is telling the boy that life lasts as long as a rollercoaster ride, it hit me. This life is a blink of an eye, and we must grab every opportunity to LOVE our loved ones while we have them. This dad and son had a beautiful relationship in life, so I can see why he was able to still see his dad !! The ending.....get tissues even more ready !! Seeing fallen soldiers side by side with their loved ones !! THIS IS A MUST WATCH !!

My son in law was killed in Afghanistan on January 7th, 2007. He left behind his wife, whom he met at 8 years old and two beautiful children. Isaiah was almost 2 years oldand Rya was 8 months old. No one knows the truth about war and sacrifice til that knocks on the door.

After having this movie on my "must watch list" many months ago, I finally watched it. This movie touched me so much, with tears and sadness, because I also lost my sister a few months ago. I'm crying so much...and yes, my family and I are knocking on heaven's door often..., asking the question...why our youngest sister. We miss her so much. This was a great and touching movie. The son is very brave, courageous and strong.

I remember watching this movie as a kid. It’s a beautiful movie makes you appreciate those who have sacrificed everything for our freedom. Always admired our men and women in uniform and always looked up to them. Great to say I leave on January 18th to MCRD San Diego for boot camp. Paying it forward to those who have fought for my freedom.

As a military Mom. I found this movie to be one of the best Ive ever had the joy of watching. The movie had all of the true emotions a military family feels when a loved one is away from home. It will make you laugh, think and cry. So grab your popcorn and a handkerchief you will want them both.

From the moment The kid learns his dad is actually dead..I couldn't stop crying for about 10mins. Probably one of the best direct to video movies I have ever seen...Dealing with death, addiction, racism, bullying, abuse, and the afterlife. Great movie.

This movie is so good it's not funny. We are in a serious time as of late February 2020 with a Pandemic and i came across this wonderful movie. I am crying of course because i wish that our world was like this movie but it is changing so fast. The respect of our fallen heroes did me in. Thank you for such a wonderfully made movie.

My family is military and most of us joined law enforcement or some first responders career. This movie broke me down when I realized he didn’t make it back, after that I couldn’t hold it. Hooah and thank you for everyone for there service and there families for the great sacrifice 🤟🇺🇸😔🙏

This movie had me crying May God blessing be with all the Men and Women serving our country over there in 2020 Afghanistan I lost my son June 10, 2019 even though he was in the services this movie had me going at first all the time I thought his Daddy did come back home to be with him until his mom came explain to him what happen . this movie help me see That my son Tommy is always with even though I
do not see him he always be with me in my heart it help when his daddy wrote his friend a letter to be there for his son. Just let me know to make sure I get Justice for my son . Thank you so much for this movie and all the angels with there still there for there family they knot at heaven door they were let in
keep our hearts safe. Beautiful movie it showed emotion it could have on wife child and people can
take you for granted when loosing a love one. enjoy this movie.

Ran out of tissues with this one, had to grab a roll of TP to make it through the ending and I am not ashamed to say. I was dancin' at times, singin' along with this wonderful boy and his Father down until the end when his friend pulled him through ! Never seen this before ... but I am very thankful that you shared this film with all of us. It is timeless, brings you to reality even today. Kudos to you for your perception shared of what this life is all about. Namaste ~

Truly a blessing to watch this movie. It took me back 😭 to a few yrs. Ago when my son was in Iraq and other places serving in the air force. Hardest thing for any child or parent to go through, but I thank God our heavenly father, brought him back to us after Soo many things.😭🙌🙌🙌 Thank you Jesus!!!! ❤️🙏🙌🙌🙌

My father was in the Air Force and was a supply sergeant in Saigon in 1963. After 9 months he returned to the States with leukemia. Wasn't much they could do back in 1964. I was almost 8 and my brother almost 5 when he died in 1964. I cried my eyes out during the last of this movie.

It always amazes me how people are quick to thank the military for protecting our freedoms but ridicule the TSA for protecting those same freedoms. The inconsistency and hypocrisy is quite alarming, pathetic, and sad. That you would bite the hand the protects you is beyond my understanding.

Wow! This was a surprisingly excellent movie. I cannot believe there was 1.5K blind and heartless people that gave it a thumbs down. I guess because it doesn't have sex, nudity, or fowl language; you know, like most of the junk that is produced now-a-days!

This whole movie is gorgeous. Just beautiful, but that part at the end was very beautiful with the lost soldiers and all BUT people be careful not to think that the dead are among us. Don't want people to think that necromancy - communicating with the dead is good or okay. Be blessed everyone and seek God continually and always be kind to others, you never know what they're battling. Always!

This is not a movie to watch while your soldier is deployed to the M.E. I should have known better, but I couldn't help myself so I clicked on it.
Very good show, but so sad too.
Stay safe to those that are deployed and those that are helping combat our COVID-19 enemy here at home.

😭😭😭Wow, what an excellent movie I discovered it a few years back on Y.T. you really get a feel for our boys who were deployed to the middle east and their family. I had 2 nephews go to the Persian Gulf and Iraq.
