Members heritage from Gothenburg (SWE) and Dublin (IRL). Navelin incorporate a broad set of pop and alternative-rock influences to their music, genres involves equal parts dream pop, post rock and electronic minimalism. Sweeping soundscapes, atmospheric guitars, rumbling bass lines, dreamy vocals and vintage electronics are usually part of the soundscapes. "It’s the twilight where dream faces the awakening; the forest's edge with the smell of mornings dew and wet asphalt"

The band released their first single "Our World is Yours" in October 2013, followed by two-track single "Ofelia" in 2014. 31 august 2015 the band released their first EP entitled "Side One" containing five songs, including singles "Shake It Off" and "Daydream" which both acclaimed some international recognition.

During spring 2016 Navelin is featured on MTV shows "Awkward" and "Challange - Battle of the bloodlines".
