Yeah
Let's Go
Hey
Weekends I spent alone
All cuz you didn't believe me
These late nights on the phone
All cuz you don't wanna see me
And you can't escape the truth
How you need me next to you
You can lie and say you're
Through with me
Round
And around
And around
And around we go
And you just let me down
Let me down, let me down, let me down, y'know
I need you to
Make your mind up
Losing time now
Round
And around
And around
And around we go
We go, we go, we go
Tell me just what you're waiting on
The good things pass up those who wait too long
All these circles, cycles
Feels like I'm walking on a tight rope
First we're lovers
Then like rivals
Repeating like old vinyls
And if it's real
Why don't you ever show or prove a thing
And still somehow in your mind
There's thoughts of a wedding ring
Round
And around
And around
And around we go
And you just let me down
Let me down, let me down, let me down, y'know
I need you to
Make your mind up
Losing time now
Round
And around
And around
And around we go
We go, we go, we go
Round and around and a
Around, round and a
Round and around and a
Around, woah woah
Round and around and a
Around, round and a
Round and around and a
Around, woah
We go, we go, we go
We go, we go, we go (C'mon)
Round
And around
And around
And around we go
And you just let me down
Let me down, let me down, let me down, y'know
I need you to
Make your mind up
Losing time now
Round
And around
And around

And around we go
We go, we go, we go

Overall Meaning

In "Round & Round," Ne-Yo tells the story of a man who is trapped in a life of labor and poverty. The foreman is paying him meagre wages, and he has no choice but to continue working to survive. If he could, he would leave this life behind and go back home, but he is too busy counting the days and walking the line. The chorus sees him yearning for a better life, to find a place where he can find some peace and lay himself down.

Ne-Yo paints a vivid picture of the man's surroundings - Old Hannah, who talks and leaves him feeling fine, and the constant noise of hammers and instructions being yelled by the foreman. Despite the difficult conditions, the man's spirit is not broken. He knows that the days will pass and hopes that he will taste better things, like water turning to wine. In the end, the man in “Round & Round” hopes for a better future.

I seriously thought this song would’ve made it to Apple Music and it still isn’t which is shocking cause this song absolutely CRANKS and would’ve done BIGGG numbers on the charts! This song would’ve fit perfectly on The Year of the Gentleman and would’ve held its own no doubt!
