Detailed biographies:
1) Nebula is a psychedelic stoner rock band. It all started when Eddie and friend Neil Blender were making weird 4 track music for skate movies like Alien Workshop's first video. He then went on to drum for Olivelawn and later on played guitar with Fu Manchu, writing some of the songs and playing lead guitar on the first three albums. In 1997 Eddie Glass and Ruben Romano decided it was time to use the whole arsenal - Guitars, Drums, Moogs, Sitars, psychedelics and formed Nebula. Tom crossed the pond in the summer of 2004 to join the Nebula ranks. With the recent addition in early 2007 of Rob Oswald, (Karma To Burn/Mondo Generator), Nebula are re-igniting the fires started in ’97. Five albums later - one on Relapse, two on Sub Pop, a couple of EP’s on Meteor City and now the long gone Mans Ruin and a long list of records with Cargo/Sweet Nothing, Nebula continues it’s long ties with the extreme sports community, featured regularly in soundtracks to movies, TV shows like Viva la Bam and Monster Garage and on video games including Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 and NHL 2007. After appearances at the X-Games, Los Angeles’ Sunset Junction Festival and numerous tours in Europe, Australia, Japan, South America and many North American tours with the likes of Mudhoney, J Mascis & The Fog and The Hellacopters, Nebula have recently returned from a month long festival tour in Europe.

Nebula Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
an das Boot wenn du ertrinkst
Du glaubst dein Gott sei die Rache
wenn Schmerz dich zerreit
der Glaube an das Leben in deinem elenden Tod
Hier liegt dein Gott
hier stirbt deine Hoffnung
Fr die Wiege deines Untergangs
Kämpfe
statt im Dreck zu knien
bete
nicht um Gnade
deine Kinder sind längst tot
Hier liegt dein Gott
hier stirbt dein Glaube
hier liegt dein Gott
in den Trmmern seines Falls
Doch du wirst weiter knien
kriechen wie ein Wurm
vor dem der dich fhrt
Denn ich bin der neue Messias
The lyrics of Nebula's song "Fin" address themes of faith, hope, and struggle in the face of despair. The opening lines speak of the astonishing power of belief, even in the most desolate of places. The desert is an unforgiving environment, but the singer insists it is here that faith in something greater can be the strongest. The metaphor of a sinking boat is powerful, depicting a moment of mortal danger, and of the life-saving power of faith.
Next, the lyrics address the idea of vengeance as a coping mechanism for pain. The singer warns that relying on a deity for revenge is not a healthy way to deal with one's hurts. Instead, there is the idea of the human spirit that can persist through the most miserable of circumstances. The line "der Glaube an das Leben in deinem elenden Tod" (the belief in life in your miserable death) expresses the idea that life itself can still be meaningful in even the direst situations.
The chorus is a powerful, haunting image of a god dying, hope being extinguished, and the wood for the crib of one's downfall growing. The verses and the chorus come together to create fervent crescendo that encourages the listener to keep fighting rather than subsiding to hopelessness.
Overall, "Fin" is a song that speaks to the human experience of holding onto faith and hope, even in the midst of extreme pain or despair. It is a song that encourages resilience and reminds us that we have the power to keep pushing forward even when it seems that all is lost.
