Nee-hi began his artistic journey at the early age of 11, taking things much more seriously into his mid teens and focusing fully on forming a career from then. From the age of 12 he was active in grime sets and ciphers where he would learn his trade. After constant practice and writing, at 14 years of age, Nee-hi became part of a crew known as ‘Ear to the Street’. The crew worked independently to record and put out a mix tape and a DVD which featured ‘Roll Deep’. They worked extremely hard together to get recognised and to gain the interest of people in the Ipswich area. They soon proved they were the best, when E2DS won a ‘DJ cup clash’ competition which involved a number of Ipswich’s local talents.
As his music began to progress, Nee-hi brought out an independent mix tape called ‘The Story Book’ which centred around creatively conveying stories through lyrics. This idea derived from the Slick Rick album, ‘The Art of Storytelling’. Nee-hi has always been a fan of the Hip-Hop renaissance of the late 1980's and has been largely influenced by groups such as: The Natives Tongues Posse, Rakim and Krs-One.
His most recent E.P is ‘The Delorean’ has had an extremely positive response. Drawing inspiration from 80's cult classic movie “Back to the Future”, it focused on the idea of ‘time travelling through music’ so every song corresponds to a different point in time and draws its style from the Zeitgeist of that era. This is typical of the experimentation and imagination Nee-hi attempts to bring to his music.
At present Nee-Hi has been working almost constantly with Danny C from Aim Records and has completed the recording of his new L.P 'Houston we have an L.P' which is due out in November for FREE download and CD.
Nee-Hi started working with Danny C in mid July of 2010 and a couple of months after that had a new L.P completed featuring collaborations with local Ipswich artists but also P-Money and Sketchman who he is in talks with, about shooting videos for the separate tracks they feature on. Nee-Hi has already got a few starting tracks of another project. He has also shot two videos with Jacuzzi Films who are responsible for shooting videos for artists such as Devlin, Fugative, JMC and more.
Despite being a music artist, Nee-hi has shown he also has talent with writing in other areas. He has written a number of poems and performed these to audiences across the country, in places such as Ipswich, Norwich, Diss, Bedford and Manchester. His experience in poetry has enabled him to better understand the complexity of being a lyricist and helped shape the intricate wordplay apparent in his latest work.

Into thin air
They fly for a minute
Fair enough
I move things constantly
To watch their orbit
To see how they change
Shape and sizeI don´t expect them to love me
To care for me
They´re just volumes and games
In Space and Time
(I threw my heart on you
Into thin air
We flew together for a while
Fair enough
I pulled every string
To create a common orbit
And saw how you changed
Shape and size
I expected you to love me
To care for me
It was just a futile game
In Space and Time)
(In Space and Time)
Because Space is crazy
and Time has never been on our side
So we just keep on
Throwing birds of clay
Into thin air
But they are not real birdsAfter all (after all)
They will never really fly
They´re just poor imitations
They are futile games
In Space and Time
In Space and Time
In Space and Time
The lyrics of Nee-Hi's "Game Time" speak to the concept of relationships and the complexities of human connections using metaphors related to space and time. The opening stanza describes the act of throwing clay birds into the air, highlighting the temporary and fleeting nature of these creations. The singer observes how the clay birds fly momentarily before returning to the ground, emphasizing the transient nature of existence. This imagery serves as a metaphor for interactions and connections between people, suggesting that they too are temporary and may not always last.
In the second stanza, the lyrics shift focus to a more personal relationship, as the singer metaphorically throws their heart at someone, hoping for a mutual connection. They describe the efforts made to establish a shared orbit with the other person, highlighting the desire for love and companionship. However, the singer ultimately realizes that their expectations may not be met, acknowledging the futility of trying to control or predict the outcomes of relationships. This reflection on the complexities and uncertainties of human connections underscores the challenges of navigating emotions and attachments within the constraints of space and time.
The repeated reference to "Space and Time" reinforces the overarching theme of the song, suggesting that the constraints of the physical world influence and shape our relationships. The singer contemplates the chaotic and unpredictable nature of space, as well as the relentless passage of time, both of which can impact how connections between individuals unfold. The metaphor of throwing clay birds becomes a symbol of human interaction, highlighting the limitations and imperfections inherent in trying to sustain relationships within the confines of a shifting and dynamic universe.
In the final stanza, the lyrics conclude with a sense of resignation and acceptance of the inherent challenges and limitations of relationships. The singer reflects on the artificial and transient nature of the clay birds, recognizing that they are mere imitations of reality. The repeated refrain of "In Space and Time" acts as a reminder of the continuous cycle of creation and dissolution that characterizes human connections. Ultimately, the song conveys a sense of resignation to the impermanence and unpredictability of relationships, while also acknowledging the beauty and significance of these fleeting moments within the vast expanse of space and time.

Liking the colour scheme and use of light Would reccomend cutting from hand-held shots to tripod shots, rather than from one hand-held to another, no stability, not really easy on the eye
