1) Nelson is a melodic glam metal / AOR band founded by Matthew and Gunnar Nelson (the twin sons of Ricky Nelson.) They had a No. 1 hit in the United States with "(Can't Live Without Your) Love and Affection" during the week of September 29, 1990. They are listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the only family to reach number one record status in three successive generations (beginning with grandparents Ozzie and Harriet Nelson).
The band split with Geffen Records record label after 1995, but they have continued to produce and release albums independently under their label, Stone Canyon Records. However, they have yet to revisit the level of success they experienced during their 1990 debut. http://thenelsonbrothers.com
2) Nelson Moraïs http://www.last.fm/music/+noredirect/Nelson+Morais
3) Nelson (formerly known as Lord Nelson) has been a fixture on the Carribean music scene for decades. He was one of the key calypso artists, later mutating into soca, the more upbeat version of calypso.
4) The French “Nelson.” , based in Paris, released their EP “Bangkok Riot” and are working on their full length debut album. The band tours extensively across Europe.
5) Nelson (born in 1986) is an American R&B singer. He is currently signed to Bad Boy Records as of 2006. And is cited as "The Prince of Badboy".
His talent and performance are in the company of Alicia Keys and John Legend. His instruments of choice are lyric, melody, and acoustic guitar. This twenty-year old native of the Bronx, New York and one of P. Diddy’s newest signings continues the legacy of great performing artists. “He’s prolific…way beyond his years,” Mark Pitts, President of Urban Music, Zomba Music Group..
6) Northern Irish trance music producer Robert Frederick Nelson, better known as Agnelli & Nelson (with Christoper James Agnew/Agnelli), who are notable for helping to define the genre of trance music since 1997. Their hits 'El Niño' and 'Everyday' have become trance classics, and they've done countless remixes, from Armin van Buuren to U2.

Don't think I can work, but I'll try
The car's in the shop so I thumbed all the way
Oh these days I barely get by
I walked home from work and it rained all the way
My wife left and didn't say why
She laid all our bills on the desk in the hall
Put my only two dollars on my favorite horse
He lost by a nose and I cried
Oh, my boss says come winter we'll all be laid off
Oh these days I barely get by
These days I barely get by
I want to give up, lay down and die
Worst of all was when she told me goodbye
Whoa these days I barely get by
Whoa these days, one barely gets by
The lyrics of Nelson's song "Day By Day" depict a series of hardships and struggles that the singer is facing in their daily life. The song begins with the singer waking up in physical pain and questioning their ability to work, yet they still make an effort to try. We learn that their car is in the shop, forcing them to hitchhike to get around. These opening lines establish a sense of physical and financial strain.
As the song progresses, we discover that the singer's wife has left without providing an explanation, leaving behind a burden of unpaid bills. The combination of financial stress and the emotional shock of their partner's departure creates a heavy weight on the singer's shoulders. The lyrics convey a sense of hopelessness and despair as they express a desire to give up and even contemplate death.
The final verse highlights another blow to the singer's already challenging situation: the news from their boss that layoffs are imminent. This reinforces the singer's sense of fear and uncertainty about the future. The repetition of the phrase "these days I barely get by" throughout the song emphasizes the ongoing struggle and the constant feeling of just scraping by.
Overall, "Day By Day" serves as a poignant portrayal of a person grappling with a series of setbacks, from physical pain to financial strain to the loss of a loved one. It captures the emotionally taxing experience of trying to navigate through life's difficulties, ultimately reminding us of the resilience and strength it takes to persevere.

ANTIGAMENTE
Antigamente

Matthew and Gunnar. I'm 41 and grew up with your dads music. When you came out with after the rain I loved it and saw you in concert with Cinderella and lynch mob. Great concert. Fan club sucks cos I never got my stuff. I am glad you decided to come back out and play again though back in the day is cool. Hope you guys are doing well and bless you both.

Yeah!!! And here I was wondering if they'd ever be able to carry on the intensity they had with "After the Rain" in a contemporary piece. They sure did! Very modern, yet still retaining that 80's Rock spirit none of us will ever let go of. Right on, dudes!
isleJane
Very cool.
MTV, CMT & VH1 still play videos? Nelson ought to get their latest songs and music videos on those networks.
