Lost Inside
Nemesea Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I cannot tell you how it feels
Here inside my heart and mind
I cannot show you what it means
To live without this pain inside

Believing you are all I'm living for
So I will not tell you what it is I've done
Day by day
I grow stronger
I can feel
I can bear it
Even though I am lost
I'll find my way
I'll find my way out

You'll never understand my pain
You'll say it makes no sense
Drowning every day a little more
But how can I tell you when I cannot confess

Day by day
I grow stronger
I can feel
I can bear it
Even though I am lost
I'll find my way...my way

I can't tell you (x3)
How I feel inside
(x2)

I can't tell you (x3)
I won't tell you now!

I can't tell you (x3)
How I feel inside
(x2)

Dying every day a little more
I can't tell you what I've done

Day by day
I grow stronger
I can feel
I can bear it
Even though I am lost

I'll find my way
I'll find my way out

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Nemesea's song Lost Inside reflect the emotional turmoil of the singer, who is struggling to convey the depth of her pain to someone she holds dear. The opening lines "I cannot tell you how it feels here inside my heart and mind" suggest that she is unable to articulate the extent of her suffering to the person she is addressing. This may be because she fears that they won't understand, because they may not be capable of empathizing with her or because she is hesitant to admit the cause of her anguish. The following lines "I cannot show you what it means to live without this pain inside" suggest that the pain she feels is an integral part of her existence and she is unsure how to exist without it.

The chorus "Believing you are all I'm living for, so I will not tell you what it is I've done" suggests that the singer's secrets are tied to her relationship with the person she is addressing. She implies that her actions may have had negative consequences and that she fears losing this person's love and support if they knew what she had done. Nevertheless, she acknowledges that she is getting stronger day by day and that she is determined to find her way out of the emotional morass she is in. The line "You'll never understand my pain, you'll say it makes no sense" suggests that the person she is addressing may be dismissive of her suffering, further intensifying her feeling of isolation.

Overall, the lyrics of Lost Inside suggest that the singer is grappling with emotional pain that she is unable to share with someone she cares for deeply. The song is a poignant reminder of the importance of communication and empathy in human relationships.

I absolutely love this song! This is one of several songs that has helped me get through some of the toughest times my life has put me through.

Nemesea is in a different league. It has evolved from the usual Gothic metal recipe of beauty and beast and incorporated electronic music to the "old" recipe, making it so much cooler and modern while maintaining the weight of the distorted guitars and the beauty of the angelical voice. A fresh take on the, also great, but also copied 1000 times, Within Temptation, Epica style. A pleasure to listen to.

@doggingstyle well they want the content that will increase the number of their listeners. So if a band isn't being launched by a big record company it's hard to get the word across to the world. But IF a song is so damn good then it will be popular whether they're being launched or not. The best (and toughest I might add) way to become famous as an artist is by having people share the song to as many people that they know/can share it to.
