MAGAZINE
Neon Lights Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You will find, I am right
Edu's coming, he's in sight
There's a gig somewhere tonight
Edu's coming, you can see the light
You can tell, he can play guitar
Edu's coming, he's a star
Sorrow, tears, they can't last
Edu's coming to steal the past

He wants to see Magazine
Howard appeared in his dreams and said
""We're a better band than Talking Heads""
Now he's gone

You will find, I am right
Edu's coming, he's in sight
There's a gig somewhere tonight
Edu's coming, you can see the light
You can tell, he bangs the drums
Edu's coming, from the stars
Once again he's running late
Edu's coming, it's our fate

He wants to see Magazine
Howard appeared in his dreams and said

""We're a better band than Talking Heads""
Now he's gone

Jesus Christ. It's criminally unrecognized. I mean - this is one of the MOST UNIQUE pieces of music sang by very charismatic man ever. I've been a radio host for 5 years and every week looking for new songs, new artists with jazzy-funk-eclectic feel, and yet, Bosley does not have the competition. This is complex, interesting, and atmospheric sound that should somehow made it's way to the top of the charts like it's supposed to. I hope in the future things will turn to the goooood side

@faststratjo2006

The verse of this song sounds just like another song and I just can't think of it. Any idea?

@piorunekk

@@faststratjo2006 Unfortunately, no. But if you find it, let me know :)

@faststratjo2006

@@piorunekk I will!

@BosleymusicNet

Well this is just plain nice! If you can email me at Bosleymusic@gmail.com I would be happy to scoop you my next single which is nothing like this but still funky as hell

@faststratjo2006

Well it's definitely based on the Peter Gunn Theme. https://youtu.be/MIKSQT-oXfc

As far as a song, I'm still searching. I'm wondering if maybe I don't remember hearing this and that's what I'm thinking of?

@lesterbronson2385

Crazy that this was released 10 years ago. I was 15 then haha. Dude has been a badass for awhile now!

@BaltimoreJam

Love this song and the video. Learned about Bosley from Ray DeMoss who heard him on the radio. Ray's in PA and I'm in MN, but our musical hearts are in Baltimore. Good to see Sean Beier on board too ... loved what he was doing with Mofofunka. Thanks for keeping it up, Boz.
