Having released 6 full lengths (Imagery, A Passage Into Forlorn, Truth Beyond.. , Trilateral Progression, The Thin Line Between, Asylon) Neuraxis have created a very unique style combining sheer brutality with a melodic and progressive edge.
Imagery was more of a death/grind album, while A Passage Into Forlorn (2001) introduced a more melodic and progressive side of extreme metal. And with Truth Beyond…(2002), Neuraxis raised the bar with a dizzying amount of brutality, melody and technicality. All 3 albums were released in Canada (Galy Rec), USA (Willowtip Rec) and Europe (Earache Rec).
In 2005 Neuraxis remain as progressive and vital as ever with their brand new full length, Trilateral Progression. Since Truth Beyond, the band's songwriting has matured to the point of Atheist-like complexity, while maintaining a triumphant melodic edge that baffles and lays waste to most of their contemporaries.
Trilateral Progression stands tall as an articulate model for challenging technical death metal that rejects commercial trends and successfully balances a majestic sense of melody with go-for-the-throat aggression.

Oracle
Neuraxis Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Sacred allegories
Or mystic idol
Experience and honesty
Transcends the symbol
Global simplicity
Opens all meaning
So awe-inspiring
Nothing is gained
No one is lost
A basic rule
One has to trust
Over bended men
Sat the tyrants
But now fate is vain
And lies silent
Over hardened hands
Grows up the world
Now senses proclaim
An oracle...
Venture some greed
Like a brassier glows
For certainties
No need of hope
But an antique meed
Promise of old
Sworn by an oak
And the wind blows...
Sacred allegories
Or mystic idol
Experience and honesty
Transcends the symbol
Global simplicity
Opens all meaning
Quiet individual
So awe-inspiring
Amongst open minds
Will bloom the world
For ones who dare listen
To the oracle inside...
[Solo: Will]
[Solo: Rob]
The lyrics of "Oracle" by Neuraxis are deep and thought-provoking. The song talks about sacred allegories and mystic idols that transcend the symbol. The experience and honesty that one has is what makes things awe-inspiring. The song suggests that nothing is gained or lost, and we need to trust the basic rule. It talks of the tyrants who sat over bended men, but fate is now vain and lies silent. The world grows over hardened hands, and the senses proclaim an oracle. The song seems to say that we should venture into some greed and have certainty in hopes of obtaining an antique meed promised by the wind blowing through the oak.
The song also suggests that amongst open minds, the world will bloom, and one can hear the oracle inside if they dare to listen. The lyrics paint a picture of a serene and mystical world, where ancient promises still hold value, and the individual experience is what we should rely on. The solos towards the end of the song add another dimension to the already sublime lyrics.
