When Prof. Wolff is speaking and I set it for subtitles, YouTube tells me I'm hearing "Music". I guess Prof. Wolff has a melodious voice! :D

Rosa Luxembourg criticized Lenin and the Russian Revolution. They also differed over The National Question.

Yet she still supported the Russian Revolution. Was a founder of the German CP. Making her objectively a Leninist.

Sorry Chris, Rosa Luxembourg was not a liberal.

Matthew Phillips

Chris's take on Rosa is selective bs. He's quoting her from what, the famous 1904ish essay she wrote? heads up Chris, a lot happened from 1904-1919.

Kurt Shaffer

I thought Prof. Wolff's point about the deeply inherent nature of fatalism in Russian literature was interesting. I'd assume that the vast majority of the population was illiterate at that time, so it may be of lesser consequence then how he presented it.

Did anybody ever find out the title of the book Professor Wolff alludes to when he thinks out loud if it was Alfred Mayer or Arno Mayer? I have been trying to find the title of this book for the past year and a half.

Correction ---- I meant to say " I suspect it is not the one."

Matthew Phillips

I came here to say the same thing.

I saw Prof. Richard Wolff in the front too. Nice Forum!

Poor audio - entirely compelling content. Wonderful
