Not a word was heard at the tomb that day
The tomb was completely silent with no noise or sound.

Just shuffling of soldiers' feet as they guarded the grave

Satan and his followers were suggesting that Jesus was dead and gone.

Then the Father looked down to His Son and said
God looked down at Jesus and spoke to him.

God was commanding Jesus to rise from the dead.

The grave no longer has a hold on You
Jesus was no longer held captive by death or the grave.

No more death's sting
Jesus had conquered death and destroyed its power.

No more suffering
Jesus had overcome all suffering and pain.

The earth trembled, and the tomb began to shake
There was an earthquake and the tomb was shaking.

And like lightning from Heaven, the stone was rolled away
The huge stone that sealed the tomb was miraculously rolled away just like a bolt of lightning.

And as dead men, the guards, they all stood there in fright
The guards were so frightened and shocked that they were like dead men.

As the power of love displayed its might
The love of God was so powerful that it demonstrated its might in the resurrection of Jesus.

Then suddenly a melody filled the air
There was a sudden, beautiful sound that filled the air.

Riding wings of wind, it was everywhere
The sound was carried by the wind and could be heard everywhere.

The words all creation had been longing to hear
The words that all of creation had been waiting to hear were spoken.

The sweet sound of victory, so loud and clear
The sound was a clear and loud announcement of the victory that had been won.

Sin, where are your shackles
Sin was defeated and no longer had power over humanity.

Death, where is your sting
Death no longer had the ability to harm humanity.

Hell has been defeated
Satan and all evil had been destroyed.

The grave could not hold the King
Jesus was the King of Kings and death could not hold him captive.

The command for Jesus to rise from the dead is repeated three times in celebration of his resurrection.
