2.) New Device are an English hard rock band from London, UK. Influenced by the stadium rock giants of the late 80’s and early 90’s such as Guns N’ Roses, Aerosmith and Metallica, New Device manage to achieve a sound where so many others fail; authentic, solid, hard rock, written by real life long fans of rock music.
New Device were formed in London, England, in October 2007. Each member had previously met or played in bands with one another enjoying success releasing music internationally and touring with the likes of Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend and My Chemical Romance, and although the band is in its infancy, they have, without doubt, earned their stripes on road.
The band almost immediately entered the studio on October 2007 to record four tracks with Romesh Dodangoda (Funeral for a Friend, Bullet For My Valentine) at Long Wave Studio, Cardiff. Over the course of a week they produced future hits - On Fire, Never Say Never, Heaven Knows and Takin’ Over. These recordings quickly gained interest and they were swiftly signed to Powerage Records.
They began recording their debut album in June 2008, at Outhouse Studios, Reading, UK, with long term friend Ryan Richards of Funeral for a Friend behind the drum kit. Mixing duties were handled stateside in Los Angeles by Cameron Webb (Motohead, Tenacious D, Godsmack).
With high hopes and an album full of songs that have the potential to pioneer a new rock movement, the band is now ready to start taking care of business and hit the road, bringing a stadium like presence to wherever they play including successful performances at the 2009 Download and Sonisphere Festivals along side Metallica and Alice in Chains the name a few.
The band had their first XFM Radio session aired in October 2009 and a serious amount of airplay throughout the UK including bbc radio 1/6 and Kerrang radio.
The band toured through November and December kicking off as main support for classic rockers Gun.
A UK tour supporting new rock upstarts Heavens Basement and a special one off secret sold out show supporting mainstream rock legends Europe followed.
In early 2010 the band underwent an unexpected line up change. Where most bands would have collapsed under pressure, New Device rose up to the new challenge. A brief audition process began and two new brothers where bought into the fold.
By May 2010 the band were back on the road, tearing up stages in main support of Dear Superstar.
In Early June the band were selected over thousands of bands to be the main support to Bon Jovi at The O2 Arena London, playing to over 20000 people.

Pretty baby and I see that you are in need of some praising
Now its time to get it on
Because the loss will be on me
I'll show you what I mean
I'm a sweet temptation, give me a try
When you're over there
When you should be rocking with me
Hands up, do it right
Keep yourself moving till the early light
I will keep it going till I set your heart on fire
Don't look at me like I've got something to give
Cause I'm not the kind of guy you should be messin with
And you can bet that I will be the mess that set you on fire
She wants to know what it meant to me
Last night, but little baby I gotta warn you
I'm a sheep devil and a hex that keeps following me
Since I was 17
I'm a lone gun in the firefight
And you know that I've got my reasons
I don't care about nothing but baby, your in my way yeah
Hands up, do it right
Keep yourself moving till the early light
I will keep it going till I set your heart on fire
Don't look at me like I've got something to give
Cause I'm not the kind of guy you should be messin with
And you can bet that I will be the mess that set you on fire
Yeah
Go!
(Solo)
Go go go go go go
Oh no!
Hands up, do it right
Keep yourself moving till the early light
I will keep it going till I set your heart on fire
Don't look at me like I've got something to give
Cause I'm not the kind of guy you should be fuckin with
And you can bet that I will be the mesh? that set you on fire
Set you on fire, set you on fire, set you fire!
The first verse of "On Fire" by New Device sets the scene for a night out, where our protagonist is drawn to a girl who seems to be in need of some positive attention. He is keen to show her a good time, suggesting that she needs to let loose and enjoy herself. The lyrics "I'm a sweet temptation, give me a try / But tell me sugar, how are you gonna taste it?" suggest that he is offering her something exciting and different, but also warn that she might not be ready for it. However, he is confident that he can win her over, stating "I will keep it going till I set your heart on fire."
The second verse explores the singer's darker side, revealing that he has a reputation as a troublemaker and is haunted by his past experiences. He is determined to pursue the girl despite these warnings, seeing her as a challenge that he is capable of conquering. The lyrics "I'm a lone gun in the firefight / And you know that I've got my reasons" give us a glimpse into his mindset, hinting that he has been hurt in the past and is now wary of getting too close to people. The song ends on a high-energy note with a defiant chorus, as he declares that he will be the one to set her on fire.
