'We Are The Ones' inspires listeners to wake up from apathy and become a generation of revolutionaries. The song is colored with cutting lead guitar lines (hinting a U2 and Coldplay influence) and a powerful, melodic chorus to create a repeating anthem throughout the song.
Strong melodies and catchy choruses have brought New Heights a lot of attention from various industry representatives even before the release of their new EP. It was not far from their minds while they were recording “Worlds” this year. "We wanted to show growth melodically and lyrically on this CD compared to our first one, so we spent a lot of time working and crafting the melodies and allowed them to really mature" said frontman, Travis Graham.
'Worlds' is a strong representation of the direction the band is heading towards musically. Since the summer of 05', the band has put out one demo CD along with one self-titled EP.
New Heights’ first self-titled EP, was released back in January of 2007 and was released digitally worldwide through iTunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody, etc. Despite the changes that have brought New Heights from an Acoustic-Rock band with six members to now an Alternative-Rock quartet, their message of truth remains close to their heart. Their sound has been compared to bands such as Lifehouse, One Republic, and Switchfoot.

New Heights Lyrics

The day is done, and you've come to find
The words are fleeting, I hear your quiet breathing
Is something wrong?
You come on two knees, with more than two needs
Finding that it's all too easy
You slept and he said
It is in you, to carry on
It is in you, to lay down fears that hold
It is in you, to find your way home
Daylight's coming, the sun is blazing
New beginnings seep into you
But in the end it's distant shadows
That finally overwhelm your senses
And this time around
Is it love that you crown?
And this time around
You'll be more than who you are
It is in you, to carry on
It is in you, to lay down fears that hold
It is in you, to find your way home
Whoa oh oh oh
Could you find yourself a way home?
Could you find yourself a way home?
Could you find yourself a way home?
Could you find yourself a way home?
It is in you, to carry on
It is in you, (oh) to lay down fears that hold
It is in you, (oh) to find your way home
The song "Peaches" by New Heights is about finding the courage within oneself to overcome fears and find a way home. The lyrics describe a person who is struggling and perhaps feeling lost, as their words are fleeting and they are breathing quietly. They come to someone else in search of help, but the singer points out that it is actually within themselves to carry on and lay down their fears. The singer encourages the listener to find their way home, despite the overwhelming feelings that may sometimes creep up.
The imagery in the lyrics is powerful and emotive, with mentions of sunlight and new beginnings, as well as distant shadows and overwhelming senses. The chorus repeats the message that it is within the listener to carry on and find their way home. The song has a hopeful and uplifting tone, despite the struggles that the lyrics describe.
