Ceremony
New Order Lyrics

This is why events unnerve me
They find it all, a different story
Notice whom for wheels are turning
Turn again and turn towards this time
All she asks is the strength to hold me
Then again the same old story
Word will travel, oh so quickly
Travel first and lean towards this time

Oh, I'll break them down, no mercy shown
Heaven knows it's got to be this time
Watching her, these things she said
The times she cried
Too frail to wake this time

Oh, I'll break them down, no mercy shown
Heaven knows, it's got to be this time
Avenues all lined with trees
Picture me and then you start watching
Watching forever
Forever
Watching love grow, forever
Letting me know, forever

You can hear this song a thousand times at a thousand different points in your life, and each time it will mean something different to you. The most beautiful song of all time.

Ceremony is in my top two favorite songs of all time (quite possibly #1 -- have to give that some thought). Strictly limiting the discussion to "most beautiful song," though, for me it is Liz Fraser singing Song to the Siren (with This Mortal Coil.) Ethereal and haunting beyond belief.

Charles Page

Broken fun, broken hymns, broken alcohol.

Jae Dela Rosa

Alfredo Taylor

this song means a lot to me. after burying my brother we stopped at a Carl's Jr. I recognized this as New Order. it was the first thing that stood out to me. my twin and I both play guitar. it's a long story but we both have a passion for music.

Koba

Sorry for your lost brother, really comes to show how music really immortalises the memories of some

U should include Martin Hannett. He is an essential part of their unique sound.
