Even though I seen the tweets , I still think she has some involvement with the game. Now theories are coming out and we have kinda concluded that this isn't the bayonetta from 1&2 but her younger self from 1 in the other timeline. Maybe they wanted to switch it up just a bit and they might surprise with helena work later in the game? Edit: Think that is Taylor, I think we forget VAs are supposed to have range. She literally voiced bayo, her mom and the the head councilwoman of the umbra clan in both 1&2 . Since bayo has this cheerful style to her they probably requested her to up her tone from what were used to. Plus they still have the same Japanese actor for 3 aswell.

1. It has been 6 years since the last game.

2. They could have a different voice director or she's playing it a little differently.

3. Sounds pretty damn similar to me. If I didn't see the labels, I wouldn't know the difference. Especially when she says "Smashing".

Even if she's a different VA, it really, really comes close to sounding like Helena, I think. I find it really hard to differentiate both voices. If you told me it's Helena in a different point of her range (like, trying to sound younger), I would believe you.

I like to think this is younger Bayonetta. This version of her feels so much more livelier and just youthful. She’s bopping and dancing up and down while fighting giants for goodness sake. If it turns out true that this is the past version, then her voice actress was definitely a perfect fit for this Bayonetta. Especially when she says “right on time” in the trailer, there’s a more relaxed aura while Helena’s has an intense undertone. Their voices definitely hit differently and I hope they made a smart choice with this.

I genuinely had no idea it was a different voice actor and I’m an extremely dedicated Bayonetta player. So to me, that really speaks to how good this is. The likeness is uncanny.
And in my honest opinion, the very slight shift in diction came across as a shift in personality, which really fit with her new look and assumed character growth since Bayonetta 2

The new voice fits this new entire design really well because I'm pretty sure this is a much younger Bayo or at least she looks very young. You can't expect an 18 year old to have a 50 year old voice. Also, Helena has a more mature voice so it wouldn't sound right (There's also the posibility that this could still be Helena) If not, I welcome the new actress. In my opninion complaining about other people's jobs is not a cute thing to do. Good for her. I didn't personally realized that the voice changed because she did really well resembling Helena 💕

Helena is definitely (in my opinion) the better Bayonetta voice. Thats mostly because the way Helena speaks it really shows the sadistic and dominant nature. I will say, when she gets named I hope she gets no hate because she is doing a great job. I think she will be fine, we love bayonetta no matter what :D

Hellena Taylor voice for Bayonetta is exactly like how Reuben Langdon's Voice for Dante,It's just so hard to get over something that's already a perfect Voice cast for a beloved character.

Honestly it could be Helena for all I can hear. Her voice got super high in bayo 2 compared to bayo 1 because Rosa was also voiced by her so maybe it’s a similar situation here. Overall doesn’t sound awful ether way.

I loved Helena because her voice really suits Bayonetta. No hard feelings to the new voice actress, she really captures Bayonetta's sass and almost sounds like the old one and has a beautiful voice, she's not bad at all. Maybe they have reasons why they changed it.

I burst out laughing when she said " if you really wanna know how to talk to a lady, ask ur mom ".

Kinda weird they'd change it. Her new voice isn't necessarily bad by any means, but Helena was just such a perfect fit for the character

Although I like Helena Taylor as Bayonetta, this new voice actress makes her sound more unique and with more or less of a British accent.

The new voice is not bad by any stretch of the word. I'll probably get used to her soon after I have the game.

But the original was just stellar, and I can't say I won't miss her...

Helena Taylor is wonderful as Bayo and she should still be involved. Taylor said we'll have to get used to us not voicing her, but perhaps it just means she's still voicing Bayo but another one if the multiverse/time travel theory is true.

The new voice is not bad in general but it lacks sexiness. Only Hellena was able to capture Bayo sexiness perfectly

I’m pretty sure it’s the same voice actor but more playful now, lowkey because this is likely cereza from bayonetta 1 as an adult, so I’d assume she’d be more playful than the bayonetta from previous entries. This is only a theory, however if it is a new voice actor, then she sounds pretty close to Helena Taylor

@AstreA idk it could possibly be her trolling around since she’s under contract that is hideki kamiya so I assume she’s being told to do that I guess but who knows, we’ll just have to see who gets accredited when the game releases

@Kris K Hellena Taylor doesn't voice this Cereza. She might voice Bayo 1 and/or 2 if they make an appearance in this game, though (traveling between timelines and all that stuff)

I think the new voice actor is to specify how cereza and bayonetta are different idk but cereza surprisingly sounds more calm and down to earth than the taughting bayonetta

I feel like I must be listening to a completely different trailer than everyone else because Bayonetta doesn't sound all that different to me in this. I would have just assumed it was Hellena delivering the lines in a slightly different way if it weren't for people jumping to speculation that it's a different VA.

the new voice could work if its Cerezita(time displacement Cereza)she sounds a little more soft and innocent especially when she says "Avavago!" Though I will miss the brash sexy confidence Helena brought to the character I don't think anyone could replicate that

Hellena's "Avavago" has so much god damn power, the new voice is not bad, until you remember how the original sounded, then, because Hellena sounds so good it makes the new one sound worse by comparison.

It’s not a bad voice, but bayonetta just doesn’t feel like bayonetta without Helena :( I pray the fan theories are correct and that this new voice is only for the alternate timeline Cereza

Part of me thought this may have actually be Bayonetta's mother who traveled to the future or something. Since they supposedly look so much alike, and it's possible that her mother may have styled Cereza's hair after her own. But didn't Helena Taylor also voice Bayonetta's mother in Bayonetta 2? A new voice wouldn't really make sense in that case

listen, the new VA is great, but there’s a different between them. For me at least, when Helena/bayonetta talks or summons a demon it sends chills down my spine, but the new VA really doesn’t do that for me.

Yeah I knew it would be a different person being Cereza grown up. I don’t mind at all. Kinda like having a twin sibling, they can sound similar but still just a tiny bit different. I’m excited. Bayonetta rules, no matter what timeline she happens to be. 🤘💀🤘

I am beyond hyped for Bayo 3, but this definitely puts a damper on things. The new voice actress sounds like a younger version of Helena, which is fine. But I do hope that we're being punked and this ends up being a different Bayonetta from the first two games (possibly Cereza from the end of the original given all the time travel shenanigan's).

i think the voice we heard in the bayonetta 3 trailer is just a placeholder, Nintendo did the same thing with fire emblem three houses where edelgard's voice was different in the game as to what was heard in the trailer, so, I'm sure bayonetta's original voice actress will return to voice Bayonetta

After finishing bayo 1 again, I'm gonna just say she DEFINITELY is little Cereza all grown up, the hair is literally the same and they literally gave us clues by making her outfit more "childish"

I like her. Helena's is definitely better but I still like her. Thank goodness her voice still suits Bayonetta. Someone did a good job though I wish it was still helena.
