I Don't Know
Next Level Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Half whom, KB, Next Level
No need be uncivil or excuse
'Cause I refuse, the power goes
You know my style
We elevate before my break down my new tal
You got it, I'm into smokin'
Driving me there like Martin
Callin' my lady
Scoping, looking for K-Borne baby
I'm on the Next Level
Learn from En Vogue
I need Spence like a Chevy
Sees them separate
Stop confusing your feelings
This move we got is cool
Relax, I'm into chillin'
[Next Level]
Now if you think you're gonna turn my world upside down
By telling me that you don't care
Or you don't want to be around
No I can't go for that, no way, oh
No, I'm not a fool
Tell me what you want
'Cause I don't understand what to do
[Chorus]
I don't know what to do
Thinking about you girl
And it's driving me crazy
Wondering if you care
So please won't you tell me
What ya gonna do, what ya gonna do
With my love
Now if you look inside of my heart
Then you will see there is pain
Now I would do anything that you want me to do
Just say you love me, oh
You need a man who can work it out
(Girl I love you so)
And I feel that I can love you without a doubt
[Chorus; x 2]
Yeah, I don't know what to do
You need a man who can work it out
(Girl I love you so)
And I feel that I can love you without a doubt
[Chorus]
[K-Borne]
Stop trying to run game
Ain't nothing new
It's all the same
Fornicating in vain
Blinded by fame, forgetting names
Seems strange, I feel it seems
I'm snitchin' or lies
When it rains it pours
Don't be jealous 'cause I'm fly
Throwing fits but I fit scripts like transfer film
Females scream for this new Don Juan
Sippin' on Dom, chill
Climbing on drum fields per dollars
Power moving
Your jams on so get your dance on it
And keep it groove
[Chorus]
The song "I Don't Know" by Next Level featuring K-Borne is a heartfelt expression of the confusion and uncertainty that comes with a failing relationship. The opening lines are powerful, with K-Borne declaring that he will not make excuses for his behavior, and he refuses to let anyone else dictate his actions. He is determined to elevate himself before breaking down, a message that is underscored by the rest of the lyrics. He talks about his love of smoking and driving, and how he is on the "Next Level" of his life. He references En Vogue and Spence, further emphasizing his love of music and culture.
As the song progresses, the focus shifts to the main theme of the song: the confusion and heartbreak that comes with a failed relationship. The chorus repeats over and over again, with Next Level lamenting the fact that he doesn't know what to do when it comes to his love interest. He desperately wants her to tell him what she wants and needs, but he is left feeling helpless and confused. He talks about the pain that he is feeling and how he would do anything for her if she would just tell him what she wants. The song ends with another verse from K-Borne, offering advice to anyone who might be dealing with the same issues. He urges them to stop running game and to keep things real, reminding them that it's okay to be vulnerable and to feel pain.
Overall, "I Don't Know" is a powerful and emotional song that speaks to the heart of anyone who has ever been in a troubled relationship. It's a reminder that even when things are tough, there is always hope, and that sometimes the best thing we can do is be honest with ourselves and with those we love.

I was in the 9th grade when this song and movie came out. This is bringing back so many memories, damn i miss the 90's. Damn near everyone in the music industry now has sold out, rap and r&b don't sound the same anymore. Smh, i only listen to 80's 90's r&b now. The music back then had meaning to it.
