Niburta was formed late 2009 by a band of friends under the name „Tardos”, who even till this day form the creative core of the band: Anna Németh, János Krieser and Balázs „Busó” Hormai. After a long period of castings, rehearsals and member changes the band takes up the name „Niburta” and enters the studio to record their first demo „Eredet”. The demo was a definite succes, resulting in an explosion in fandom and several international gigs such as Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
In the middle of 2011 the band recorded it's first EP, „Awakening”, which provided them with and extra boost to their rapidly growing popularity. From here the flow of events sped up: the band performed several smaller gigs, and also blasted the stages of the Folk-Rock Marathon of Budapest in January, and the Rockmaraton Festival this July. Niburta was also invited to several foreign gigs, and was among the main performers during the International Beltine Fest Tour 2012 in Slovakia, Slovenia, and Hungary.
This spring brought about some changes in the band's lineup too, reforming one third of the band, but creating a more stable and dedicated group.

With mankind's selfishness and arrogance
Spreaded like a foul cancer,
No cure to end this horror
If I had the chance to be one with the earth
To learn her ways,
To feel how she flows
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila
Na planina, mamo, na Vlaina
In a cloak of rhyme, nature showed her beauty
Hidden by the clouds, Sun revealed himself to crown her
Her roots grow inside
Like Veins she surround
Giving me life, giving me hope
As we become one
A new perspective
How men distort her
How we turn our backs to ourselves
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
-Evolúció-
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila
Gathering my lost children,
With true heart and eyes to see
Sealing off the gates to keep their peace within
Gathering my lost children,
With true heart and eyes to see
Sealing off the gates to keep our peace within
Shapeshift myself as a swan
To search the leaf of life
I ascend from Earth's dark embrace
I spread my silver wings
Right straight to the sky and I fly
Towards the end of world I fly
I see and feel
How she has been tortured
How she has been tattered
By evil ways of men
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
Na planina, mamo, na Vlaina.
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila
Come on
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila,
-Evolúció-
Dimna Juda, mamo, grad gradila
Metamorphosis of human mentality
Something from nothing
No understanding, no emphaty
The lyrics of Niburta’s song “Evolution” touch upon the theme of human greed and the negative impact it has on the environment. The song begins by acknowledging the corruption that plagues the world due to humans’ selfishness and arrogance. It describes humanity’s influence as a foul cancer with no cure, highlighting the overwhelming effect human behavior has on the planet.
The lyrics then shift to a tone of reflection, as the singer longs to become more connected with the Earth. To learn from her ways and feel her flow. They describe how nature has roots that grow inside like veins, and how it surrounds and gives life to all living things. The lyrics paint a picture of unity and perspective, describing how humanity has distorted nature and how people have turned their backs on themselves.
The song then shifts to a more hopeful tone as the singer gathers their lost children and seals off the gates to keep peace within. The lyrics describe how the singer shapeshifts into a swan to search for the leaf of life, ascending from the dark embrace of the earth and into the sky toward the end of the world. As they do, they witness the torture and tattering of the earth by humanity’s evil ways.
Ultimately, “Evolution” is a song about the need for change and the importance of respecting and protecting the environment. It calls for a shift in the human mentality that prioritizes empathy and understanding over greed and destruction.
