Boobies
Nice Peter Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

When I first came into this world
you were there,
safe in my mounth, and beautiful.

Whenever I was hungry you were there,
sage in my mounth anda beautiful
and as young man, I was taken
by the shape of you
and all I ever hoped to do was touch.
As an older man, I can't believe it's possible
to love a pound of flesh so much.

Boobies are fine,
boobies are always on my mind,
they make me safe,
yeah, like a happy little baby sleeping
(sleeping and dreaming, yeah).
Boobies are sweat, boobies have always been
so good to me
Oooh... I love you boobies!

She was everyone's favorite teacher,
we got used to her substitute.
Because she got sick in April,
we last saw Ms. Wemett in June.
I was too young to understand,
I don't know, maybe I still am,
maybe I'm not man enough.
But how could something
that we've always know to love so much
take away the ones we love?

Boobies are fine,
boobies are always on my mind,
they make me safe,
yeah, like a happy little baby sleeping
(sleeping and dreaming, yeah).
I know I'm limited, by the fact that I'm a man

but I'll do what I can.
Oooh... I love you boobies!! x5

Overall Meaning

The song "Boobies" by Nice Peter has been interpreted as a humorous yet heartfelt tribute to the female anatomy. The lyrics express the singer's lifelong fascination and adoration of breasts, from his early infancy when he relied on them for sustenance, to his teenage years when he was captivated by their shape, to his adulthood when he still can't get enough of them. The song also touches on the singer's grief over the loss of a beloved teacher who may have passed away from breast cancer, which adds a somber note to the playful tone of the song.

The lyrics are full of double entendres and innuendos that playfully evoke the many ways in which breasts are celebrated and fetishized in our culture. Lines like "boobies make me safe, like a happy little baby sleeping" and "boobies are sweat, boobies have always been so good to me" suggest that breasts are not just objects of sexual desire but also sources of comfort and pleasure. Meanwhile, the singer's reminiscences about his childhood and adolescence reveal the ways in which boobs have shaped his identity and desires over the years.

Thank you Peter. This actually meant a lot to me. My grandmother died from breast cancer so I bought the song so hopefully nobody else has to go through what I did.
