Wow James! That is superb. Your tone, intonation, and expression are as good as it gets, which is hard enough as it is, but piano self-accompaniment at the same time is so much harder than most people might imagine. Brilliant work!

Bravo, James, this performance is brilliant and no easy task, as you make it appear.! Thanks.
@ebddml
This is quite amazing. Trumpet and piano works nice on this music. Thanks for the performance!
@Rage_p
everything is awesome : your beautiful playing, the emotion, the fact that youre playing both instruments simultaneously, and all of this on a grand piano while wearing bermuda shorts and a yellow sport tshirt. I love this so much, thank you
@BigParadox
That was wonderful. Quite outstanding. Thanks!

It is absolutely beautiful!

Ahah!! this is genius! I got an idea to play this prelude exactly like that trumpet in my right hand and accompaniment in the left on the piano after watching the movie "Anatomy of the Fall". Decided to google whetehr someone already did it and here you are! :)
Great playing James!!!

Beautiful. I played that prelude on the piano when I was around 11. I won a scholarship competition with it and a Haydn sonata. I played trumpet later on. So I was sitting here thinking "You could have done that." Then a little voice said "What about that high note?". Nope. I was just getting a high C on my Bb Bach Strad when a school transfer mandated by law drove me from band. I would suggest that any student wanting to try this take it down to D minor, unless they have C trumpet. The fingering is much easier, the intonation will be better, and the top note is a Bb concert. The piano part is easy to transpose. Again, great job. I truly love your sound.
@JamesVaughen
It would be especially challenging to play Bflat trumpet and piano at the same time with 2 keys going on simultaneously! One day maybe I can get there...

Hell yeah brother
