Take a chance in, what I believe in
I'm gonna have a tattoo, I'm gonna have an attitude
So tell my girlfriend that I'm leaving
'Cause I'm free yeah, to say what I want to say
And I'm feelin' that it's time to get away
Whoa whoa, we can live forever if we try
Yeah, yeah and nothing's gonna stop us no
We're young, I stand for you
See I'm a taker, not a beggar
I'm tired of losin', I'm gonna lose it
I'm gonna ride a Harley, oh on the highway
I'm gonna do it my way, I'm gonna do it my way
'Cause I'm free, yeah to say what I want to say
I'm feelin' that it's time to get away
Whoa whoa, we can live forever if we try
It's up to you
Yeah, yeah and nothing's gonna stop us no
We're young, I stand for you
Pressure in the air, in my hair, people everywhere
Politics don't care, need to ease my mind
Try to find a way. better day, but it's time to get away
Don't you care?
Whoa whoa, we can live forever if we try
It's up to you
Yeah, yeah and nothing's gonna stop us no
We're young, I stand for you
The lyrics to Nick Carter's song "I Stand for You" can be interpreted as a proclamation of personal freedom and a desire for individual expression. The singer appears to be declaring his independence and willingness to take risks. The line "I'm gonna run forever, say whatever" suggests he is ready to stand up for what he believes in, no matter the cost. He is also not afraid to shake off any expectations or norms put upon him, as evidenced by his declaration that he will have a tattoo and an attitude.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the idea that the singer is living in the moment and not worried about the future. He is encouraging those around him to join in his carefree attitude and live as young, wild and free as possible. The line "nothing's gonna stop us no" reinforces this idea of living in the moment and ignoring any obstacles that may come their way. The final lines of the song, "Try to find a way, better day, but it's time to get away, Don't you care?" suggest that the singer is tired of the pressures of the world and just wants to escape and be free.
