No Survivors
Nick Helm Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We were flying high on our wings of love
We were strapped in tight buying duty-free
'til you said the words that you said to me
You said you got no love left in your heart
Then the turbulence tore our plane apart
Our engines stalled as we tucked and braced
And we smashed back down to Earth
No survivors There were engine parts scattered left and right
There were searchlights searching through the night
As they dragged our bodies from the twisted wreck
And the doctors beat on our lifeless chests
No vital signs no BPM our relationship flat-lined right then
There was nothing left to do but pray
Like the last time you walked out
x2
There's a dolls head burnt by the fuselage
There's a black box laying where you broke my heart
All the landing gears resting by the wings
And across the wreck is scattered all our things
Your face was like a plane crash
I couldn't tear myself away
Girl your mouth and eyes were burning hot
And your hair was red like flames
There's an impact crater sitting in my heart
From the time we crashed and blew our love apart
The fire that we shared burnt hot and fast
I thought they'd never put us out
No survivors No survivors no no no no no survivors
No survivors no no no no no survivors
No survivors
The song "No Survivors" by Nick Helm is a powerful ballad that has an underlying tone of heartbreak and loss. The song tells a story of two individuals who were flying high above the clouds while in love but crashed and had no survivors. In the opening verse, the lyrics talk about how they were flying on their "wings of love," enjoying the moment until the turbulence hit and tore their plane apart. The impact of the crash led to their deaths and ended their love story forever. The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "No Survivors" several times emphasizing the tragic outcome of the crash. The second verse delves deeper into the impact of the crash, describing the search for survivors, the damage to the plane and the bodies that were retrieved.
The lyrics of the song paint a vivid picture of a couple who had been in love but couldn't make it work in the end. It's possible that the turbulence that hit the plane is a metaphor for the instability of their relationship. When the music video is watched, it can be assumed that the plane representing the relationship is running low on fuel and cannot continue much longer. Ultimately, when the plane crashes, it symbolizes their relationship's failure, and there is no coming back from it.

It makes me so sad that these dont have millions of views, and Uncle wasnt bigger. It was a huge success in my opinion and I think it's got to be my favourite series. I just wish there was more, and more people that appreciated it. I only really saw nick on comedy shows before I saw Uncle like on 8 out of 10 cats. Everything about it all is just underrated.

Fun Fact about this song. It was filmed at the junkyard my step father worked at.
