Lover
Nick and Norah's Infinite PlayList Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I made you cry
Tears evaporating in the sky
If he told you he loves you he lied
Nothing left to hide
My heart is open for you to confide
Time is passing like a slut
Left me in a rut
I don't know if I'll make it out
I opened my mouth
Neighbours Complain, I'm weeping so loud
Love, you're mis-behaving
Love that I've been craving
Love that you've been saving
For Another
Love, you're mis-behaving
Love that I've been craving
Love that you've been saving
For Another
Another Bed
Another Bed
You know I'm bad
Another Bed
The song "Lover" from Nick and Norah's Infinite PlayList is a heart-wrenching and emotional ballad about a complicated relationship. The lyrics are filled with vivid imagery and metaphors that reveal the singer's pain and heartbreak. The opening lines, "The sun's setting down in your eyes, I made you cry, tears evaporating in the sky," describe a beautiful and sad moment, where the tears of the person they love are turning into clouds. The line "if he told you he loves you he lied" suggests that the singer is in love with someone who is in a relationship with someone else. The line "Time is passing like a slut" is a powerful metaphor that suggests that time is moving too quickly and is not loyal. The singer is questioning their own feelings and whether they will ever move on from this heartbreak.
The chorus is repeating, with the lines "Love, you're misbehaving, love that I've been craving, love that you've been saving for another, another bed, you know I'm bad, another bed." Here, the singer is expressing their deep desire for the person they love, who is either unattainable or not reciprocating their feelings. The line "love that you've been saving for another" suggests that the person they love is either in a relationship or interested in someone else. The word "misbehaving" is interesting because it suggests that the person they love is not acting according to what the singer believes is right or appropriate.
Overall, "Lover" is a powerful and emotional ballad that reveals the complexities of love and heartbreak. The lyrics are full of vivid imagery and metaphors that convey the singer's pain and despair.

This is a strong romantic movie and a lot of this movie is exposed in the first few scenes that took place before this scene. But in this scene to the music of Javier by the Submarines, we see Norah and Nick kiss each other in front of Trish. Trish at first thinks Norah's choice, of Nick is ridiculous, but later becomes obsessed with getting Nick back from Norah to show Norah she is better than her.
In the meantime Nick and Norah share a kiss that leaves them both shocked as to how wonderful it was.
In the scenes before this, it is shown that Nick and Norah are extreme music lovers. Trish, however throws Nick's CD's in the trash, and does not know the name of the band "Where's Fluffy". She does not even think that knowing that name is important. It shows Trish is not a music lover. And in reality she is far from a music lover as we continually see throughout the movie.
These things lead the viewer to what will happen between Nick, Norah and Trish. .
That is, if the Title of this movie did not do so.

In the book, Trish actually encourages Norah to get together with Nick because she genuinely wasn't ready to be so serious with Nick. The movie made her into the stereotypical evil ex for drama.

i wish they kept it that way in the movie. Tris was a bad friend to Norah in the movie and was always giving backhanded compliments to her
@SpiritMatthias
Saw this movie with my girlfriend in 2009...married her a year later. Two kids and still happy. Still listen to songs from these kids' playlist.
