Nickelback was supposed to be a grunge band fighting against the system or some such bullshit. They never said that, people just labeled them that way.
When they signed with some advertisers, people turned against them and accused them of selling out.
Turns out that EEEEEEEVERY band does now what Nickelback did.
They didn't do anything wrong, they were just ahead of their time.... and smart.
They wanted to secure a good future.
We don't hate on bands now for signing with advertisers.
