A natural born musician, he taught himself how to play the guitar. He followed his family tradition at the same time as he was experimenting with music and arts. He showed a keen eye and skill for photography and even did some album cover work.
Moved to Africa in 1971, to live with his mother while attending school. His music contacts enabled him to meet Patrick Legrand, who took his material for review and later amazed Peyrac when he heard one of his songs interpreted by Marie Laforet. The success of this 45 earned him an immediate contract with Pathé-Marconi.
Then, his first two 45s were real flops. The record company was concerned with whether they should continue with him or not. "So far away from LA" changed all this and made him an overnight star. He abandoned his medicine studies when he was almost done in his 6th year. Consequently, his music surfaced and worn awards in 1975. This legitimized his position and status as one of the best musicians of that generation.

Petite poupйe blonde aux cheveux dйcoiffйs,
Tu devenais l'objet que voulaient possйder
On dit qu'un Prйsident t'avait tйlйphonй,
Qu'il йtait ton amant depuis quelques annйes,

Marilyn
The song "Marilyn" by Nicolas Peyrac is a tribute to the iconic actress Marilyn Monroe. The lyrics describe her rise to fame as a model and actress, her desire to dance and move into films, and how she became a revered sex symbol. The song speaks of how the men wanted to possess her, built her up as a paper palace, and how cinema itself treated her as nothing more than a Diva, losing her amongst its countless studios, as tears tended to be silenced. The women, on the other hand, started hating her, while the men who desired her remained chained, dreaming of liberty.
The final verse of the song involves the singer, who never met her, acknowledging that he now knows her well after all that she has been through. He applauds her and tells her to rest, knowing that she danced too much. The song ultimately pays homage to the star who was put under a lot of pressure and abuse, showing that fame and worship come at an enormous price.
