@@gonzo-szczecin2952 honestly, I'm a giant Tarja fan and Floors performances are on her level. She has anamazing voice and energy on stage. It's really not about was Tarja replaced or not. With Floor they scored big and found the right singer for Nightwish and that's all that matters. Think of it as a devorce. You don't go around telling people they did not replace their first wife with second. They broke up and that's it.

True story. Talking about bands with a friend (we're north of 60) at a coffee shop. I bring up Nightwish as my favorite.
Then I hear the intro to Ever Dream coming from the next table. A 20 something kid, cell phone in hand, smiles and nods.

yes, that is a phenomenal version. I'm a longtime Nightwish fan and fan of Tarja as well. She is unparalleled, each version is stamped with their own unique energy and spirit. I can listen to both and feel moved in different ways. I love Tarja, she's a legend in the genre and that will never change.

That being said, I have never heard a vocal performance like Floor at Wacken 2013.

The whole band that night, the whole show, from start to finish, was unmatched. I think they were all feeling reenergized, they knew they were recording, and it was also the first Nightwish recording featuring Floor. They knew she was the perfect fit for the band and they all wanted to show it. I think a flame had been rekindled in every member of the band. But probably nobody more so than Floor on that night. She was on a mission, to deliver a performance for the ages, and she did not disappoint for a single moment. She is unmatched!

​@@HaraldAchitz Tarja sings the song in head voice whereas Floor sings it in chest voice. The last minute of the song is actually more comfortable to sing in head voice as it is so high. Floor could have used her head voice as well but she is friends with Tarja and doesn't want to create a rivalry (there is enough tension between the fanbases without any of the ladies encouraging it) so she tried to create her own sound and succeeded. All I can say is that what Floor is doing in the finale of Ever Dream - which is blasting multiple F#5 notes in a clean fashion using full chest voice for over a minute live is insanely hard. Pretty much all contemporary pop divas would start breaking apart halfway through. Mariah Carey in her 20s could do it but no one today.

Not bashing the drummer or the current bass player at all - they were hired and are doing their jobs just fine. The drummer is quite excellent actually, but man Jukka was way cooler looking lol. Dude should use his new Nightwish level income for some hair plugs - also i hate that this is coming out of my mouth but the new bassist is pretty ugly too lmao. When you think of Scandanavian viking style men you think of the Brock Lesnars, the Marco Heitalas, the Alexander Skarsgaard's etc - not these guys lol. I dont want them gone or anything, im just saying. Presentation helps A LOT in music.

Speaking of income and ill end with this: I heard that Marco Heitala left the band because of idk i cant remember but it was like "the lack of upward mobility or oppurtunity in the industry" - idk - i didnt look into it and i probly should but at the time thats all i read - sooo wtf man - your a world famous rockstar and beloved by all that hear you... I mean i get it if he was just burnt out - it is EXHAUSTING playing a lot ( i played 3-5 nights a week sometimes in college/post college bands as a guitarist and I would have to ice my hand sometimes ( we covered some Dream Theater AND some Joe Satriani LOL - so long and technical intrumentals= -pain lool.

Yes of course we miss him. I've been fan since 1998, and he was such a showman, very big part of their stage precence and energy, and he had such incredible groove. My favorite drummer ever.

But Kai is also brilliant. He is precise as a Swiss clock, and even faster than Jukka. And he is also very nice guy...so they probably got best substitute possible.

Jukka was "better" for Nightwish, Kai was better for Wintersun, Lars Ulrich is better for Metallica (yes, he is not very good drummer, but he still is). But from technical aspect and precision, Kai is definitely one of the best drummers out there.

When it comes to Image and presence Jukka def. was the one for Nightwish, that cool pirate-like guy 👌
