She won 7th place in 1993 with "Ostavljam te", 10th place in 1994 with "Godine nestvarne", 18th place in 1995 with "Odlaziš zauvijek", and almost won in 2003 with "Čarobno jutro", being a runner-up to Claudia Beni with "Više nisam tvoja". Nina starred in popular Croatian television show Mjenjačnica, where she swapped for a day with a zoo animal guard.
She started singing when she was only nine in children’s choir Zvjezdice. With that choir she travelled around the world, recorded several albums and gained a huge experience in choir, solo and gospel singing.

Two years later, and having recorded one album "Godine nestvarne", she starts her collaboration with Zoran Škugor and goes to London to record her second album Personality. That was the best selling album in 1997 and 1998. She won two Porin awards, Rose of Vecernji list and many other awards. Her version of "I’m So Excited" from that album reaped her success in European countries. She was number one on pop charts.
The lyrics of Nina Badrić's song "Nebo" express the pain and longing of a woman who has tried everything to forget her former lover but is still haunted by memories of him. She knows that he is kissing someone else now, but she can't help hoping that he still thinks of her too. The chorus of the song is a poignant reminder that everything we do in life, every choice we make, has consequences, and that we will eventually have to face up to the debts we owe to others and to the universe itself.
The title of the song, "Nebo," means "sky" in Croatian, and it's interesting to consider how this simple, elemental image evokes so many different associations and emotions. On a basic level, the sky represents the vastness and freedom of the natural world, as well as the unreachable heights of our own dreams and aspirations. At the same time, however, the sky can also be a symbol of limits and boundaries, the "ceiling" that separates us from whatever lies beyond. In the context of the song, the sky takes on an almost mystical significance, as if it were a kind of all-knowing, all-seeing force that has the power to judge our actions and determine our fate.
In addition to its powerful lyrics, "Nebo" is also notable for its haunting melody and emotional intensity. Nina Badrić's soulful vocals convey a sense of vulnerability and sadness that is both relatable and deeply moving. The song has become a favorite of many fans of Croatian pop music, and it continues to be a powerful testament to the enduring power of love and loss.

there were too many Balkan ballads this year. Although this was my favourite out of them, that's probably the reason she didn't get through to the finals.

Fun fact: If they used the new 2016 voting system back in 2012, this song would have qualified for the final instead of Norway.
