According to vocalist Jeff Suffering at the time, the album "quite possibly could be the best record I'll ever record." Explaining their breakup, Suffering said "we had a rough tour and nobody wanted to continue playing in 'Christian' music industry."
After breaking up, Suffering and guitarist John Spalding went on to form Raft of Dead Monkeys with label mate members of Roadside Monument. Suffering later went on to form the still-active Suffering & the Hideous Thieves. He also contributes to Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Not Like Me
Ninety Pound Wuss Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
All I fought comes round ten times my way.
Strange looking sequence, I'm falling apart today.
Carrying over into new memories.
No it's not like this, no it's not like you at all.
No it's not like this, no it's not like you at all.
No it's not like this and no it's not like me.
Now what should I say to all your questioning?Your life is vacant, your words just trivial,
Dogmatic, meaningless, with no relationship at all.
You've lost community.
No how can you live?
Revolution, spinning around again.
Lost in rebellion.
Burnt on religion.
New conviction.
I won't do what you say.
New conviction.
I won't do what you say.
The lyrics of Ninety Pound Wuss's song Not Like Me are a commentary on the frustration and disillusionment of being told what to do by someone who seems empty and insignificant. The singer feels that there is no reason to follow the other person's commands, as they have faced many challenges in their own life and have come out stronger each time. The singer sees a repeating pattern in their life, something that makes them feel like they're slowly falling apart. This is contrasted with the other person who is described as "vacant" and "dogmatic", lacking in any real meaning or purpose.
The lyrics reveal the singer's newfound conviction to not be controlled by others, branching out with a new sense of rebellion, and rejecting any religion that they feel is not in align with their beliefs. There's a call to action towards revolution, to create a new sense of self, and to reestablish communities that might have been lost.
The song expresses a sense of frustration towards people that act like they know the way, whether it be in relationships or society in general. Lyrics like "Your life is vacant, your words just trivial, Dogmatic, meaningless, with no relationship at all," articulate the frustration felt with those who cannot offer anything useful. The song ends on a note of defiance, with the singer claiming that they will do what they please and not follow in someone else's footsteps.
