Come on over, do the twist, aha
Overdo it and have a fit, aha
Love you so much, it makes me sick, aha
Come on over and do the twist, aha

Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me

Come on over and do the twist, aha
Overdo it and have a fit, aha
Love you so much, it makes me sick, aha
Come on over and shoot the shit, aha

Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me (beat it, beat it)
Beat me out of me

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Nirvana's song Aneurysm seem to describe a passionate and intense relationship. The singer is calling out to their lover, urging them to come over and "do the twist," a reference to a dance popularized in the 1960s. They then repeat the phrase "overdo it and have a fit," suggesting that they want their lover to become consumed with passion and desire. The singer professes their love, saying that it makes them sick, likely in a metaphorical sense of being overwhelmed by emotion. They continue to urge their lover to come over and engage in casual conversation - "shoot the shit" - while repeating the refrain "beat me out of me." This could be interpreted as the singer wanting their lover to dominate and control them in a physical or emotional sense, or perhaps to push them to their limits.

In the chorus of the song, the singer repeats the phrase "she keeps it pumpin' straight to my heart" multiple times. This could be interpreted in a few ways. It may be a reference to the physical sensation of being in love, with the heart racing and pumping faster. It could also be interpreted as a metaphor for the intensity of the relationship, with the singer saying that their partner keeps their heart beating and their emotions running high.

Overall, the lyrics to Aneurysm are somewhat enigmatic and open to interpretation. However, they suggest a relationship that is both intense and potentially unsettling. The repeated phrases and references to physical sensations may be a nod to the adrenaline rush of passion, but they also hint at a darker side to the relationship, with the singer seeming to want to be dominated or pushed to extremes.

The difference in Kurt’s demeanour and stage presence between here and 1994 is crazy. Towards the end he really looked like he hated every second being on stage, here he looks like he’s having fun.

@roach-ji3hq

It only took 3 years for it to be that way, its a real shame too.

@46thandBliss

I mean, a lot of people say that because of how he died but in '93 he's clearly having a good time during Unplugged. Live and Loud - not so much

@jmason61

Yeah it's really really tragic....if he had actually liked being a successful musician at the end....who knows? If only they just quit the whole thing, like the Beatles
