Wow and I Say Wow
No Fun at All Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Always broke I can't see how
I can stop this poorness ball
No fun at all
Give me money give me gold
It brings me happiness I'm told
I need experience in being rich and need it now
I say wow, wow, wow and I say wow
Give me everything
I say wow, wow, wow and I say wow
Give me everything
Lots of money in the stock exchange
All of it outside my range
This fact really pisses me off
I could use a lot of stuff
The lyrics to "Wow and I Say Wow" by No Fun At All explore the theme of materialism and the desperation to have everything immediately, with no delay. The singer expresses their frustration at constantly being broke and unable to fulfill their desire to have everything they want. They crave money, gold and the experience of being rich, believing that these possessions will bring them happiness. The repetition of the phrase "I say wow, wow, wow and I say wow, give me everything" emphasizes the urgency of their desires and the extent to which they are consumed by their own greed.
The singer acknowledges that their desires and obsession with material possessions are causing them to have "no fun at all." This suggests that their single-minded focus on acquiring things is preventing them from enjoying life and experiencing true happiness. Furthermore, the line "all of it outside my range" highlights the inequality and disparity that exists in society, with some people having access to wealth and others struggling to even make ends meet. Ultimately, the song highlights the emptiness and futility of chasing material possessions and wealth as a means of finding fulfillment and happiness.
